West Sumatra: alloggi vacanze con colazione

My stay at Ricky’s was great! After a long day and a long drive there that ended a bit stressful, when I arrived at Ricky’s they immediately knew me by name and got me dinner. The place is more like a hostel, with community meals, jam sessions around a fire at night, and a club like area that I could tell probably had some amazing parties, but there weren’t many people there when I was staying. There’s amazing snorkeling right on site, with the chance to see some beautiful sea turtles. They also have a turtle hatchery, which was so cool! I got to help feed the baby turtles and clean their little shells! If you’re looking for a a chill and relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by beauty, Ricky’s is for you! The only negative, which would only be a negative for some. Is that they do play live music pretty late at night which can be heard from the bungalows, and as I said, I can tell they probably have some pretty fun parties there during the peak season.

Lovely traditional home stay with friendly hosts and delicious Padang meals. We got to experience rice planting, watching how Rendang is made, finding cinnamon and cocoa trees and seeing the kids fish for our dinner from the pond. The village is very scenic with pretty gardens by the rice paddies, framed by high peaks and a view of stunnning Mt Marapi and its daily puffs of volcanic smoke. We learn a lot about local culture and it is close to caves and other interesting sights

We had the most amazing stay at Jala Villas!! We’re a family from Australia and stayed for 1 week. The location was terrific, Shannon and Imer were fantastic hosts and very knowledgeable about the area. Lances Right (HT’s) is a paddle out straight out the front of the property. The villa itself was very comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen with everything we needed. Highly recommend!!

There aren't the words to describe how lovely and enjoyable our stay was at Pinilok. It was everything we hoped for and more. If you are looking for the best, most private place to stay on Sipura this is it. Unlike all the resorts nearby, you have your beach all to yourself!! The only humans we saw on our visit were all the lovely fellas who took care of us on the property and some local fishermen walking down the beach. Access to waves is spot on. Food is amazing. Anton will feed you the BEST fresh fish while Tirti can show you the best waves, snorkel spots, beaches, etc. We were missing our doggos so it was such a treat to have a brood of dogs on the property. If you are looking for a place that embodies the Mentawais, this is it. I wish we could keep the spot to ourselves but this is the place to go! Absolutely recommend and cannot wait to return.

There needs to be hot water in the bathroom because the water is cold, and a trash can is also needed in the room/toilet. The house is clean, the bed is comfortable, the room is cozy, and the amenities are complete. Earlier, I had some difficulty finding a spatula for cooking, and the knife was a bit dirty. The house is very close to the Istano Basa Pagaruyung tourist site, only 1.5 km away. The house is easy to find, and the host is very helpful.
