There are lots of walks from the doorstep, plenty of wildlife and no light pollution, so amazing night skies, with the Jurassic coast and plenty of historic houses close by to explore.

Ford Mead Studio ( ‘meadow by the ford’) is a comfortable, spacious apartment on the first floor of a delightful stone barn. A perfect getaway for couples and solo travellers, it can also adapt for a family. The barn is next door to our lovely c.15th Grade II thatched cottage, in the village of Chetnole, with its award-winning pub and c.13th church. You are surrounded by beautiful countryside and next to the cobbled ford that crosses the River Wriggle, with views across fields to the village.

The cottage sits within a ninety acre farm, Higher Easthams Farm.The market town of Crewkerne is a pretty, ham stone town that sits in beautiful countryside perfect for all manner of outdoor pursuits. The River Parrett and trail runs through the farm . We are only 30 minutes drive from the world heritage site that is the Jurassic coast, which has the towns of Lyme Regis famous for its fossils and Bridport which are popular for the beach and cafes.

Delightful Fishermans Lodge - central Christchurch

Gorgeous retreat on River Avon, overlooking world famous Royalty Fisheries, just a 5 min walk from train station, with parking. This stunning Lodge is the perfect getaway, having the benefit of peaceful river views, whilst in the centre of historic Christchurch. Watch the sunrise from bed, then (with a day pass) you can fish or just sit on the large covered verandah or open deck area, watch the wildlife and then walk into town to shop/eat/drink in 5 mins. Bride Valley Studio is a light, spacious retreat for 2, a perfect place for a romantic getaway. The bedroom has a kingsize bed, the studio is 6x5m with kitchen and sofa. Please ask in advance if you’d like the travel cot and high chair or if you need the single bed putting up. Studio is 15m from our house, screened by trees, with own entrance, patio and parking. This is a quiet spot with fields on 3 sides, a mile from Burton Bradstock, ideal for walking, cycling, relaxing and Hive Beach

The Potting Shed is a stylish, secluded oak frame barn with tennis court on the stunning Somerset Levels. A luxurious space to kick back and relax in with its own private garden and beautiful far reaching views of the countryside. It boasts a romantic bedroom with kingsize French bed and ensuite. The bespoke kitchen is extremely well equipped, with a Nespresso machine, dishwasher, induction hob and fan oven. There is lots to enjoy in the local area from good pubs to fantastic walks.

The Pavilion is a modern, purpose built holiday house in the quiet Somerset village of Yarlington. It has all the conveniences: Wood burning stove, underfloor heating, Washer & tumble dryer, Iron & ironing board, fast fibre optic broadband and a charging station for an electric or plug in hybrid car, but sadly the mobile phone signal is very poor. The house is next to the pub and a stones throw from the church. The Newt and Hauser Wirth Gallery in Bruton are within a 15 minute drive.
