The Royal Albatross Centre, Little Blue Penguins, Penguin Place, and Larnach Castle are 15-minute drive from the cottage. We are close to many beautiful beaches that host sea lions and seals. There are many great walks with scenic views. It is a self-contained cottage with everything you need for cooking and washing.

Lovely Historic School, Karitane

Our unique stand alone studio is a small, historic, renovated school, close to the village of Karitane. The school has everything you need for a warm, comfortable stay. There are books, a CD player and games for your use. We live in a repurposed sheep shearing shed nearby and both buildings are surrounded by extensive gardens and plantings. There are panoramic views of the very picturesque coast line and out to sea. It is very peaceful and private.

Orokonui Getaway #22- no hidden fees

When you want to get away from it all and relax, "Number 22" provides an excellent base within 15 mins of the City of Dunedin, with a rural outlook and plenty of birdsong, thanks to Orokonui Ecosanctuary. Past guests have come to explore the area, to hang out for a weekend with a friend, to write some more of their novel/thesis, to be out of town when visiting Dunedin for hospital/events, and to job hunt from an unstressed base!
