A lot of "bang for your buck" with this stay. The apartment is generously sized and the kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed making our meals in the well equipped kitchen with a window overlooking the ocean. The garden is absolutely gorgeous with a stunning waterview. The hosts provide a variety of comfortable outside seating options from which to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Roomy, comfy and clean; good bed. Though I didn’t use the kitchen much, it appeared well equipped. Easy drive to downtown Victoria and a 15-20 minute walk to Esquimalt shopping and coffee places. The neighbourhood is residential, pretty, and very quiet - provided a peaceful respite after busy days. The ocean-side park at the bottom of the street is a nice bonus.

Haven’t really stayed in many airbandb’s but this was bright and cheery and spotlessly clean. Easy walk to great restaurants and our own parking spot right out our door. .

Had such an awesome stay, the room was tidy, modern and had everything we needed. We had such an awesome time out on the dock, wish we could have stayed longer. 10/10 would recommend this place

A wonderful stay in an absolutely stunning location! The photos and description are perfectly accurate, and the place is wonderful to spread out relax or use as a homebase while visiting Sidney. Both bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and stocked full of amenities, and the kitchen is very functional with a great open room and beautiful balcony overlooking the water. Victoria is about a 25 minutes drive away (depending on traffic) but the suite is close to many amenities including stores, restaurants, the Victoria Airport and the ferries to Vancouver. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay. I had to sign paperwork to comply with local laws, but all turned out fine.

Unas vacaciones de sueño. Casa muy bonita y muy bien equipada, con preciosas vistas al borde de un lago, y con artículos de recreo (kayaks, planchas surf, chalecos salvavidas...) a nuestra disposición. Nos ha llamado la atención la gran calidad y buen diseño del mobiliario, de la decoración, y de los artículos de menaje (vajilla, útiles de cocina, ropa de cama, etc.). Otro aspecto que ha hecho nuestra estancia muy cómoda ha sido la calidad de los electrodomésticos y la provisión de artículos de limpieza. Nuestra comunicación con Rhonda ha sido excelente desde el primer momento. Agradecemos mucho su amabilidad y las instrucciones sobre la casa y el barrio que nos ha facilitado. Creo que es la primera vez que califico al máximo todos los aspectos de nuestra estancia. Una casa y unos anfitriones de sobresaliente.

unreal, honestly. top 3 airb&bs we stayed at. we ended up booking a 3rd night because it was so amazing. would stay again and may do in May.

Despite looking at the pics online, the first thing we experienced when we walked in was a collective breath in, and an "ooooh" out. What an eccentric, quirky, charming home, full of personality - bright green plants lining the floor-to-ceiling glass windows, everything from a really tall cactus to banana(!) to flowering hibiscus. A hobbit shed in one corner competing for attention with daffodils on the roof(!). Amazing photos lining the walls, art from around the world, live edge kitchen counter, differently sized logs of wood acting as window panes, a wall-to-wall stack of old national geographic magazines. All of this, of course, paled in comparison to the view from the window, of sailboats docked in a cove, bounded by evergreens around, and a gentle lapping orange sky below. Absolutely perfect place to relax with a coffee mug and a book. The hiking was great too, we hiked some evergreen rainforest and a couple of beaches. And a 30min drive to Victoria. We loved it!

Space worked really well for our party of six adults and an infant. Really nice side of the island and so quiet and peaceful which was appreciated. Had a resident seal who perused the cove (not at low tide since it gets really shallow), Bald Eagle, Belted Kingfishers and swallows nesting in a Madrona tree which was a treat. Nice little beach a short walk from the house and the proximity to Roche Harbor was appreciated. Recommend a walk through the sculpture park near the airstrip (was a treat).

We had a great family holiday in Sooke. 9 adults and 1 toddler. Close enough to go into Victoria! (Even by e-bike!!) Spent some time on the Galloping Goose and exploring East Sooke Regional Park. We spent some time on the water and in the nice big hot. The beds were all very comfortable!

We loved staying here. The house is great. The front porch, the side deck with grill and sun chairs and outdoor dining is great. The dock on the water is fabulous. Any specific questions or issues were addressed immediately. Its a really lovely spot. You can't do better on Shawnigan Lake!

The house is located at a beautiful private nook of the island. It’s lovely inside and outside. It’s stocked with all essentials and very well decorated. We had a wonderful time and the kids loved it too. Thank you Jean and Steve.

This place is a gem. Looking over the water, watching the seals and birds was so peaceful. The house is very well equipped and beautifully done. Can’t say enough about this place. Enjoy!

My wife and I had a phenomenal stay at this Airbnb. Nestled in the city's heart, it provided a stunning view of the iconic Empress Hotel. The apartment was comfortably furnished, feeling like a second home. The outdoor patio was a unique highlight. Surrounded by trees, it served as a peaceful oasis amid the urban bustle. The pool and hot tub access added a layer of luxury, perfect for relaxation after city exploration. Our hosts were attentive, ensuring our comfort at every step. This Airbnb is a splendid choice for couples seeking a luxurious city stay. Eagerly awaiting our return visit!

Nice place. Great location Closet was small and furnishings were a bit out of scale and dated. Pillows were mis matched. Kitchen was clunky with no oven just a toaster oven. Noise from the garage door and cars coming and going was irritating. Kit drawer did not work, and drawer front was separated. Threshold to bath was splintered. Overall just needed some careful maintenance.

The day of check in there was a snow storm. There was communication all day regarding the condition of the road. They managed to have all the snow cleared and sidewalk salted in time for a early check in. They also followed up to make sure everything was ok. The space has a beautiful view of the bay from the living areas and bedroom. The utilities are new and modern. Very comfortable and would defiantly recommended it to anyone looking for a peaceful stay outside of city limits.

Robert was a wonderful host with great suggestions for outings and shared his knowledge of the wildlife and area. The highlight for me was watching the family of sea otters fish in the ocean from the beautiful beach deck! We absolutely did not want to leave!

Stunning views and a wonderful space with a delightful garden. We loved it here and did not want to leave. This property has access to the ocean, and a huge deck to watch the ocean and wildlife. The suites are well appointed, clean and spacious. The suites even included binoculars! We would recommend this spot - it was well worth the drive.

We had an incredible stay at this stunning property perched on the ocean in Shirley, BC! The views of the Olympic Mountains from the premium hot tub were nothing short of breathtaking, especially when we spotted humpback whales at dusk on our first night—pure magic! The property itself at moments may feel more like a swanky international hotel with its backlit onyx kitchen and luxurious rain shower yet nestled in the rustic beauty of the coast. Our host, Robert, was incredibly kind and attentive, immediately offering his charging station for our car—a real relief. Highly recommend this place for an exceptional, premium coastal retreat close to Victoria!

We loved our stay here. Wonderful view of the city and harbor, and close to many restaurants and stores. The in-unit laundry was very convenient. Would recommend, thanks for having us!

Highly recommend! We stayed here as 5 adult siblings for 4 days. Check in was easy, plenty of parking (even with my large truck), exactly as described, beds were comfy, even the Murphy bed in the wall. View of the bay and sea planes, walkable to everything. Shower pressure was great and plenty of hot water to go around for the 5 of us. We had a wonderful time!
