Beautiful cabin in the mountains on the way into Wrangell-St. Elias NP. Hosts were so helpful to work with us on our late arrival!

We didn’t end up getting to stay; unfortunately got into an accident on the drive over and had to turn back. Cynthia & Andy were kind and gracious about our problems, and I’m looking forward to actually staying with them in the future. The directions were a bit tough to read; I thought that their place would be soon after Chitina from the wording, but it’s over an hour past. Plan accordingly since the Airbnb link to the location on Google maps is also inaccurate.

We had a great stay while we spent a few days exploring McCarthy and Kennecott areas. It’s a beautiful location and super convenient if visiting McCarthy.

What a fantastic location! We stayed in the Gilahina, and it was perfect. Loved the deck. It was great to have a grill, and a full sized fridge. (Never seen a propane powered refrigerator before, but they’re probably not that uncommon here.) The ride in from Chitna is is quite an adventure. You really don’t realize how long 60 miles takes when you’re averaging 25 miles per hour! Plan for 2 hours. From the office you can rent spikes to attach to your shoes which are fantastic for trekking out onto the glacier. The property is wonderful, our cabin was clean and extremely comfortable. I couldn’t recommend the property, the proprietors or the location more. All were superb!

We had a beautiful stay at Currant Ridge! Matthew & Tori were exceptional hosts & made us feel very welcome to this remote part of Alaska. The cabin was pristine & had all the amenities to make our stay easy & enjoyable.

Great stay! The place is well maintained and very clean. Bed was very comfortable and kitchen was well appointed with everything you’d need to make a meal. Very close to Main Street.

Absolutely adored our cabin at Currant Ridge. It was a lovely place to stay and enjoy Wrangell-St. Elias NP and McCarthy.

Only a mile from my daughter’s family and home. It was warm, comfortable and beautifully rustic. My daughter even set up a Christmas tree for us to enjoy. We had the whole house and loved the privacy. Can’t reflect on sharing common spaces but the house was certainly amenable to easy sharing. Each bedroom had its own bath and was totally private. View was spectacular.

We had a lovely time & got engaged on our first day in Glacier View!! Great trip. Thanks so much!

it was perfect! I wanted to stay somewhere peaceful and not in a campground with a ton of other people. this was exactly what I was hoping for! I highly recommend this place!

Very nice, quiet, and peaceful place. The owner communicated well, very pleasant, and keeps it up very well. I recommend it to anyone. 4 Stars for sure 👍

This campsite is a yearly stay for us. It is convenient, quiet, and clean. It is a perfect jumping off point for a lot of adventures in the Valdez and Copper River area.

This place is amazing! We loved it from the second we walked in. We probably had the best view of the glacier in the whole area and enjoyed it so much! The view itself is already worth every penny! She made it so cozy! Loved the goats and their babies just hanging outside. The place is prepped with all your necessities and more. We felt so comfortable and happy that if we ever came back to Alaska we would definitively book again!

Mark is the best! He owns the cabins, operates the restaurants and flies the helicopter tours too! Room is clean and enough space for 5 of us. Multiples trails right behind the cabins to explore on your own. He even lends us free bear spray. But the best part is the restaurant next door -- the food is amazing! We had two dinners and one breakfast there and they were so tasty. This place is a gem in glacier view, highly recommend it.

It was a beautiful place to stay and in the morning we saw sheep on the mountain from our cabin. The private helicopter tour was AMAZING. It was an experience I will never forget. Mark was down to earth and knowledgeable about the area. He took us to spots so we saw all that we wanted to. Highly recommend you splurge for a flight.
