Our family had a wonderful stay at this villa! The view was absolutely breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The staff were amazing—always attentive, friendly, and responsive to all our requests, including accommodating the needs of our toddler, which we greatly appreciated. A standout feature of our stay was the amazing cocktails! They were expertly crafted and added a special touch to our evenings as we enjoyed the stunning scenery. Additionally, the staff guided us to a beautiful local waterfall, where we had a fantastic time exploring and enjoying nature. It was a memorable highlight of our trip. The only area for improvement is the food. While it was decent, we’d love to see more fresh vegetables included in the menu to enhance the dining experience. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and we’d definitely recommend this villa for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat with top-notch hospitality, and opportunities to explore local beauty

I found my Sri Lankan home at this beautiful space!! Loved every minute I was there, the views are incredible, waking up every morning with a cuppaaa tea in bed looking at the mountains uhh just paradise. If you are looking to be in nature, for calm, serenity.. this is your place! Chittra became like family when we were there, she is so friendly, warm and welcoming to her home and cares that you have a wonderful stay, oh and please try her food, it’s incredible!! I also fell in love with her doggies, who are super friendly and kind, they even come walking with you. Book now, you will love ittt!!xoxox

This place is awesome! It's everything shown in the pictures and more! definitely had a great time. Amazing views from the main bedrooms were amazing. Highly recommend this place to everyone. A special thanks to Mark and his Dad who look after the place very well and were really helpful to us in everyway possible.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit! Das Gelände ist groß und natürlich belassen, die Zelte waren geräumig, sauber und stilvoll. Wir haben eine Safari gebucht und haben sogar Leoparden gesehen. Abends wurde am Lagerfeuer unter dem Sternenhimmel gegessen, das war so romantisch und das Essen war fantastisch. Den ganzen Tag über gab es frischen Tee. Das einzige, was ich mir wünschen würde, wäre ein Pool, um sich nach der Safari abzukühlen. ;-)

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt bei Ajith und seiner Familie! Das Baumhaus hat all unsere Erwartungen übertroffen und wurde mit Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Das Abendessen, sowie das Frühstück waren unfassbar lecker, frisch zubereitet und sind sehr zu empfehlen. Wir haben ebenfalls eine Safari über Ajith gebucht, welche einwandfrei organisiert war und im Vergleich zu anderen Touren auch günstiger ausfiel. Insgesamt haben wir uns super herzlich aufgenommen gefühlt und jeder Wunsch erfüllt. Wir würden definitiv wieder kommen und können den Aufenthalt jedem wärmstens empfehlen!

Beautiful view and very nice staff. Breakfast was really good and fresh, definitely recommend the curry and milk rice. The treehouse is a bit outside of the city center, requires 1 or 2 tuk tuk to get up to the retreat (the second of which is steep and bumpy, so only the most stilled tuk tuk drivers can master it). However, the staff organised tuk tuk for us each time we came and went free of charge and it was always on time when given 10 minutes notice. Recommend this place for a unique and unforgettable stay in Ella.

We had the most wonderful week at Shambala Retreat in Sri Lanka. The house is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views that we enjoyed every single day. What made the experience even more special was the incredibly kind and talented cook, as well as the warm and welcoming host, Rumesh. The food was delicious, the atmosphere peaceful, and the surroundings truly stunning. We felt completely at home and left with full hearts. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful retreat, it was simply perfect!

this Airbnb is an excellent stay that's perfect for a safari trip. The cottage is exceptionally clean and comfortable, and Hasith is a brilliant host. The food was excellent and he catered to our every needs. we would absolutely recommend this cottage for anyone visiting Udawalawe.
