We had the most relaxing time at this house on the sound! Having coffee on the screened porch and listening to the water and seeing the hummingbirds dive bomb each other was a real treat. Being able to bring our new rescue dog was a bonus and she loved the backyard for play and daily training sessions. If you are a star watcher, the sky is very dark and we even saw the satellites being released our last night there. We visited a local strawberry farm 10 minutes from the house every morning and went into Columbia for lunch at Stick Burning BBQ which you shouldn't miss! We walked on the boardwalk at nearby Pocosin Lakes National Refuge and saw snakes, turtles and otters playing. Our last day we drove into nearby Edenton for lunch and enjoyed learning about the history there. The house is so comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for a great visit. It is a great value and we will visit again! Thanks so much!

David and Flanna were the ultimate hosts! They exhibited extraordinary hospitality, were so very helpful, and provided wonderful entertainment. David even went above and beyond by cooking a couple of wonderful meals for us! We enjoyed the extra care and attention during our extreme adventure during the snow storm. They were not just incredible hosts but they became our friends! Hope to be back sometime in the future.

We had a relaxing stay in a peaceful, country setting. The home has a cozy, private feel, and we really enjoyed the beautiful weather and quiet time by the water. Fishing was a fun bonus, and the views made for a really calming backdrop. The house had what we needed for a comfortable week stay, and the host was kind and responsive in communications. It’s definitely a place for unplugging and slowing down, and we appreciated the chance to recharge in a quieter corner of the state.

We have stayed in many many Airbnbs - this was by far our favorite place! Our aim was to get away from the crazy and relax in a beautiful place - we did just that. Justin was quick to respond, his place is super cute and very clean and had everything we could have needed. The view was amazing! We would certainly stay again! Thanks so much for hosting us!

We enjoyed a peaceful stay after long days on bikes. We were in town for the NC Coastal ride. After riding for 30+ miles each day we came back to a tranquil location. The home is immaculate. Every item one would ever need was provided. It was perfect to have a full size fridge for our supplies. Beth even left firewood in case we wanted to enjoy the fire pit. We were able to stretch and get in a yoga session on the dock. Yoga mats were provided. The home feels like a ship in that it is surrounded by water. The waves and fresh air made for incredible sleep each night. An osprey nest is outside the window. With the binoculars we were able to watch the progress of the nest and the amazing pair catch fish. The communication throughout the stay was spot on. The “billion dollar” view is remarkable, but the amenities and care from the homeowner make this is top notch vacation spot.

The host was amazing, I'm not ever tech savvy and she helped me so much while trying to add a pet fee and general questions. We stayed easter weekend to make it extra special for my son, the walk to see all the horses and wild life was amazing ! The barn cat even joined us for an easter egg hunt. Walking in to homemade banana bread made this feel so much more like home. It was hard to leave !!

My family enjoyed our stay at 70 Newlands Rd. We were celebrating my mom's 81st birthday and she was more than pleased. She raved about the recliners. I think that was the highlight of her trip. We are now on the hunt for a similar sectional. Charles I feel did the best that he could with his cleaning staff out of town. There was more than ample cleaning supplies and a washer in dryer that made up for the initial condition of the home. There were a few hiccups, but with some cleaning we couldn't have had a better time. The tranquility is worth the stay. Do yourself a favor and give this home a try. If you enjoy peaceful surroundings and plenty of space for the kids to run around this is it. Charles was a very considerate and attentive host. Thank you so much, my Mother is already planning another trip to visit.

Me and my family keep going back for a reason. This place is perfect for a get away and has all the newest appliances and Electronics. Very peaceful and very spacious. Definitely worth the money!
