Some unexpected weather damage and cancellation to our first Airbnb lead us to search again. We found this gem, it was a bit further away than initially desired but in the end it was exactly what we needed. Explored Ave of the Giants, Lost Cove and Black Sand Beach, and just relaxed. The beauty of the forest was special. Unfortunately, I needed to work a few days-WiFi worked perfectly. We made a full Thanksgiving dinner and meals at the house. The beds are comfortable, the water plenty hot, the kitchen outfitted; it was perfect for us three and our 20lb dog. Thanks Landon for hosting us!

Had a wonderful stay in Redding - this is really such a hidden gem of an Airbnb. Walking and mountain biking trails are right on the property border - perfect for anyone who wants to go for a walk / hike / bike ride! Great trails and very well maintained. Very close to Redding too - 8 minute drive into downtown! Separately the accommodation itself is very spacious and well decorated with everything a small group or family could need! (Pool table, board games, 3 bathrooms, etc). Highly recommend this space!

Lisa and MaryAnn were great. The place was Awesome. Best sleep ever listening to the river outside. I would stay here again.

The Retro River Retreat home is a secure, well maintained, uniquely decorated home. This beautiful property sits directly on a very fishable section of the Trinity River. The setting is serene and quiet. We were impressed by the WIFI/internet signal strength, having more than just one TV was great and the King adjustable bed was just what the doctor ordered.

Wonderful space. Nicely appointed, with tasteful decor, great views from the master bedroom and main living area. The home had thoughtful touches throughout; a true Airbnb. The home was spacious, homey, clean and inviting. Plenty of space, and direct access to the river. Ryan, was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The neighbor we spoke with on the morning we left was friendly. We will plan to come back in the summer with the family for some fishing and cooling off in the river.

Beautiful cabin by the river! Our family of 5 and two dogs enjoyed a relaxing stay at a very clean, comfortable and private cabin. The hike to the river was easy and secluded. The house has everything you need and a gorgeous view of the river. Would definitely recommend to anyone and can’t wait to stay again!

It was a wonderful stay at the Strawhouse Resorts. I appreciate the sweet welcome, prompt response, the immediate action to requests, and their flexibility. Amazing customer service. 10 out 10!! We enjoyed our stay! Julia, her husband and their staff were amazing during our time at the Suncrest. Love their Strawhouse coffee!

We had the best weekend ever at this place! The pool and river were incredible and the house was very comfortable. Tessa was so flexible with us when we needed to reschedule due to wildfire smoke. We will definitely be back again 😊.

The owner was very kind, decorated for Christmas and always available to help with anything we needed. We could make many beautiful memories!! We would love to come back here again!!

The side of the house boasts a beautiful view. The woodfire stove made it cozy and a highlight.

My family and I loved the green cabin, even in the rain! We visited, played board games and watched movies provided. The layout of property is perfect. Lots of comfy beds, generous seating on couch and table. We are already planning our next stay!

We’ve stayed here before and hope to stay again. It’s perfect for a larger family.

Nicole's house was extremely clean & sooooo much room to work with. Spotless linens, kitchen & every room was spacious & comfortable. When we experienced a garage door problem, Nicole responded quickly & had it fixed the next day. Very nice stay & would stay again!

GREAT house - very retro and unique. Location is incredible; we had so much fun spending time at the river. Pool is awesome. Kitchen has everything. I think we will come back!

The house is comfy and cozy and was well stocked, even for our big family of 8 and kitty and our long stay. The beds were super comfy and the yard was great with pool, lots of pool toys, and plenty of seating. Beautiful views of the mountain and nature everywhere. Great house, great hosts, we had a wonderful stay! :)

Or stay was great! The house was very clean and Lillian was very helpful with directions and getting the house situated for us! The location is amazing and on a clear night the stars are incredible. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Do not think twice about this beautiful, calm, clean!, relaxing place. GO! The grounds are kept up with love and beauty that a mountain garden should be when loved by it's gardener. Socked away so you feel far away from the things you need to get away from, that's why you went there in the first place right! The grounds cats that are special to the breed, with personalities to match. Trails all around and ones outside your front door. You will never want to leave.......seriously! Host's are delightful cabin very nicely kept. Meadows, roads and rivers to walk down in the evening. It's definitely a return for me lots to do up there if you love the mountains!

Excellent and spacious home! Kelly is friendly and very helpful. She even assisted with us when we needed the AC on for a hot day! I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who is in the area.

Wondeful location. Peaceful country side right by the river. Great place for stargazing. Just 3 miles away from gas, food and cannabis store. Host was kind and responsive. Wish we stayed for longer.

We had a great family trip at Melanie’s house. It fit all of us very comfortably. We had beautiful scenic views surrounding the property and we were close to areas where we were able to explore like plutos cave, mt Shasta, where we took the kids tubing. We loved that there were no tvs. We were able to get away and enjoying each others company, relax by the fireplace, play games and talk. Great little get away.

Janet's place was quiet, peaceful, clean and safe. It was the perfect place to disconnect from our busy lives and my little dog was welcome to go too. We enjoyed not having a tv, it gave us more quality family time. We will stay again !!!

Marlen is an excellent host. She took the time to show us her farm, even gave her some duck eggs from the farm. Her place is exactly as described, it’s so peaceful and calming. This is an excellent place to decompress. One of the best airbnb places I have ever stayed at!! We will definitely be visiting her place again! And anyone reading this, should definitely give it a try!
