the apartment is very clean, homey, with great bed on tatami flooring. i really enjoyed my stay here and this is definitely one of the best highlights of our trip. the hosts are very friendly and caring, even informing us about the cold weather changes. thank you Syuji & Sachi for accommodating and let us experience this modern japanese-style apartment! we would definitely come back & recommend this place to our friends & family when visiting Takayama! 😊

We had a great stay at Omusubi. Ryuichi, as everyone else mentioned, is such a helpful and kind host who greeted us personally. He gave us great recommendations and is always responsive when we had questions. The place is a walk away from Cortina and a few mins drive from Norikura, so convenient for skiing. The whole unit is clean and spacious, and the heating is great! The only slightly downside is that the soundproofing isn’t so great, so you’d hear sounds from the next room and outside if there is significant noise. Thankfully the area doesn’t seem to be noisy so we weren’t too affected. Overall it is still an excellent option for the Hakuba area!

The place is beautiful, much better than the pictures. well equipped. about 10 mins walk from the bus stop. but a bit challenging to find the first time as the map said I've arrived when we reached a restaurant and Nori said it was the location but it was a few doors before the restaurant and it's a small door on the main road between shops so easy to miss. a shop owner helped find it. The place is extremely quiet and well equipped and has character. it's very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay . it's clean and has everything we may need

Amazing stay at Sayaka San’s place. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had amenities that could just make you feel at home. Had everything that you can think of. Sakaya is very responsive and is a very hospitable host. She even kept a small welcome gift for us for our arrival. Checkin was smooth. We took the taxi from the Kanazawa station as we had bags and the cost was around 1600 yen. The location is fantastic, right near the Kanazawa castle and Kenrokuen gardens. There are some amazing restaurants nearby and I would definitely recommend the Atsushi just two steps from the apartment to your right. All in all a beautiful stay at a great apartment managed by a very good host.

Really appreciate the comfortable environment provided for our big family. The convenient location near the station and shops makes daily life so much easier!

Great stay. Allocated parking lot just beside the house. A peaceful quiet residential area yet just 15mins walk along a straight road to the main area restaurants and morning market.

We had no trouble finding the hotel from the train. It was a walking distance and it was quite a lovely walk because you see all the different stores and restaurants. We arrived early so we rested in the lounge and then went shopping and had lunch. Finally, our room was ready and we were very impressed with the decor as well as a cleanliness. We especially loves the outdoor onsen which made you feel really relaxed as you listen to the birds. Our next night was with another Iori property so they transported our luggage to the next destination (so that we didn’t have to lug it around on the bus). Overall, we would be returned!

Highly recommended! Super comfy and spacious house for 4 adults. About 5 mins walking distance from Takayama Station which is very convenient for us. One of the best local accommodation that I stayed in Japan so far. Anyone who love tatami will definitely love this house. The house is clean and equipped with all the cooking utensils. The biggest plus point is super near to the famous Maruaki Hida Beef restaurant with the walking distance less than 3 mins. The host Naoko is very helpful as she replied my message promptly. I will definitely come back for my stay if I ever visit Takayama again

This was the best accommodation we had during our 2-week trip to Japan - Shinzi is a wonderful and generous host! Check-in was smooth, and he provided written instructions on home location, house rules, how to use appliances, and fun things to do in the area. The house was exactly as advertised; we appreciated the traditional Japanese style rooms and garden. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the shower had good water pressure with hot water. The futon beds were comfortable, and we slept great each night. It's a very quiet area with minimal street noise, and it's an easy 15-minute walk back to Toyama station. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. Shinzi was friendly and attentive; he provided us cab fare, scheduled a taxi for us when we checked out, left us delicious treats in the fridge, and surprised us with a very thoughtful gift during check-out. Shinzi, we will always remember your kindness towards us during our honeymoon - THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Takeo was very accommodating and pleasant to communicate with. We spent three months in his house and it was worth every cent. Location was also fantastic.

The hosts, Junichi san and Puy san are very accomodating and hospitable. The tourist spots are accessible from their airbnb. Hida Kokubunji is just accross the place. Our family enjoyed our stay.😊😊😊

Wow! One of the best staying. The house is very clean and well built. Morino is very proactive and helpful. The house has everything. Washing machine is good for drying clothes well.

I could not recommend Villa Monochrome enough! Yasue was so helpful the whole time of our stay, she picked us up and dropped us off at the bus terminal for arrival and departure and even drove us to get groceries. She was helpful during our stay and really made us feel at home. The accommodation was beautiful and well equipped and the location is fantastic for snowsports at Happo One. Will definitely be staying again! Special mention for the Kotatsu (heated) table. That was such a lovely treat after a day on the mountain. 10/10 for Villa Monochrome.

I can’t hype this place up enough. Perfect homey hideaway, right next to sakka slopes!! After a recommendation of rental gear (5 minutes away) we just needed to gear up and cross the road to the ski lifts. Its such a flex to be able to just walk back across the road to a warm and homey villa. We can’t thank Yasue and her partner enough. We will be back!! Would love to hike this area in spring. It was purely magical in winter, and was lucky enough to see some snow monkeys too!! We loved Hakuba. Hopefully we can come when there are less tourists as they can be quite disrespectful. We hope we have made a good impression for you!! Thank you very much and can’t wait to be back!!
