Myslef, my partner and our border collie felt right at home at Ovenden Lodge. We (the humans) loved the spa and sauna, while Hazel enjoyed the space and country smells! Provided with breakfast provisions, as well as towels and robes for the spa and sauna area, it's a wonderfully relaxing place to base ourselves to explore Gawler and the Barossa. Can't wait to return.

🔥 Best. Stay. Ever. 🔥 I’ve been to 5-star hotels, but this beats them all. A 160-year-old house turned masterpiece, spotless like a sci-fi lab but cozy like grandma’s hug. The bed? Cloud-level comfort. They even let me pick my pillow softness AND my breakfast bread. VIP treatment or witchcraft? ✨ The garden? Bird paradise. Canaries, doves, a fountain straight out of a fairy tale. Add a 34-degree spa and you’re basically in heaven. 🌳 The kitchen? A chef’s dream. Falcon gas stove, knives so sharp they could cut through my life problems. They even grow their own macadamia nuts and give them away. Do you know how much work that takes? It’s nuts. 💥 And the hosts? Absolute legends. Kind, funny, up for a chat or total privacy. Need something? They’ve already got it before you even ask. 🔮 📍 Verdict This isn’t just an Airbnb - it’s a life experience, a piece of art, and a slice of paradise. BOOK IT! Because once you leave, you’ll already be dreaming of coming back. At least 11/10 🌟

Perfect stay, close to vineyards and easy access to surrounding areas in our list. Great host and very flexible for check in. Lovely little "extras" awaiting on our arrival and the next day on our doorstep. Cannot fault. Easy parking. Great location for town access.

Our stay was a relaxing and peaceful visit thanks to Veronica and Phil. The cottage is crafted so beautifully and all the small touches don't go unnoticed. We felt instantly at home. Will definitely be back for another visit.

Great experience overall, this is a perfect spot to stay if you're planning on spending some time in the Barossa. The coach house was lovely and well stocked with amenities. Karen is a wonderful and communicative host.

We absolutely loved the stay! Mandy and Ian were very warm and welcoming. The view was amazing and we enjoyed using the pool and the spa. You can even feed the sheep which was the best part for me and there are lots of chickens and birds you can see. Will be back for sure

This cottage was stunning. We both absolutely loved our stay and have already talked about staying there next time we are in SA. The house was clean and comfortable. The hosts were very responsive. They left us a lovely breakfast and great recommendations for dinner. All in all the cottage is perfect. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I had the pleasure of visiting a lovely little place on Sue's property, and it truly felt like a hidden gem. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. One of the highlights was the delightful interaction with Sue's chickens and horses , who greeted me right at the door. It added a unique charm to the experience, making me feel right at home. During my stay, I also enjoyed some lovely walks on the property and outer surroundings sometimes running into Sue doing her farm duty’s. She was great for a little chat. . If you're looking for a tranquil escape with friendly animals and great conversation, I highly recommend visiting this wonderful spot!

Great stay. Roomy, great kitchen, laundry. Bathroom 1 very big and roomy. Bathroom 2 good family size. Kitchen had all you needed. Large fridge and was provided with fresh milk, coffee and tea. Spotless house. Free WiFi Enjoyed our time there.
