It's a shipping container! A cozy, actually luxurious 1-bedroom home with a hand-made walnut counter-top and plants everywhere, bringing a bit of nature indoors. A reverse osmosis drinking water system, 55-inch television, full-size refrigerator, full-size bed with Tuft-and-Needle mattress. There are outdoor cats that visit, Grey Cat lives in the forest in the front yard and cat food is available. The neighbor might ask you for a dollar, don't do it! This place to stay is truly one of a kind.

We would like to extend a warm Southern welcome to all of our Guests staying in Wilmington's "Jungle Room." The separate Guest room is set in a beautiful tropical garden full of interesting and fascinating plants-palms, staghorn ferns, colorful bromeliads, and many more. One of our hobbies is propagating these plants because of their beauty and overall dramatic effect. If we've done it right, you can easily imagine you are in a tropical rain forest right here in Southeastern NC!

The ceilings range from 6 ft 5", dipping lower at the roof lines! Private entrance on the side of the home. 1 mile from the downtown riverwalk, 8 miles from Wrightsville Beach, & in the center of the inner-city/downtown area. The historic Market Street is 2 blocks over, which heads both downtown & to the beach.

Violations of our house rules such as excessive noise, smoking inside, or extra guests will lead to a fine of $250, cancellation of your reservation, and your immediate removal from the property. Nestled in the heart of historic downtown district, our cozy studio offers a perfect blend of convenience and tranquility. This location is fully walkable to everything in downtown Wilmington, making it an ideal choice for couples, solo travelers, or if you're local, a great place for visiting family to stay.

The Lake Cottage

The Lake Cottage is located across the street from Greenfield Lake. It is a 3 minute walk to the Amphitheater and 9 minute walk to the Park Center with boat rental, playground, skakeboard park, and Pickleball Courts. There is a 4.5 paved trail that runs around the lake across the street. The Lake Cottage lies down its own private walkway and has a fairly-land feel about it.
