Hear the loons at night, kayak to beaver cove and see an eagles nest. A tranquil and peaceful setting. A perfect balance of rest and adventure. We prefer Sat-Sat. rental but flexible.

Experience the beauty of winter in beautiful villages and Acadia NP nearby. 4 Bedrooms: Primary w/queen and full bath; 1 with queen; 1 with daybed/two twin. Loft over garage w/queen. The cottage is only 50 feet from the water's edge Use of a canoe and kayaks is included. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are about 45 minutes away and perfect day trip.

Enjoy the day lounging on the deck, boating, and swimming off the dock. Enjoy the evening by the fire pit under the starlit sky and listening to the Loons. The downstairs you will find living room, kitchen/dinning, full bath and washer/dryer. Upstairs is a one room bedroom with queen bed. Two kayaks provided. Perfect getaway for two!

This is a special place, away from the world. You will drive past blueberry fields and turn onto a winding dirt road... ending up at our tiny camp. We call it "Upta" because in Maine we go "upta camp." This is a true Maine camp lake experience - a chance to kayak, swim, and relax while still being close to Acadia, the ocean, and coastal towns to explore. There is cell service but no wifi - we like to put devices away and reconnect with nature (and ourselves) here.

BREEZE Treehouse, at The Appleton Retreat is located on 120 acres of private land, bordered by 1,300 acres of a protected nature conservancy. To the south is the Pettengill Stream a resource protected area and to the north a large secluded pond. BREEZE does not have a hot tub but guests may reserve the sauna, which is close by and private. The Appleton Retreat is less than a 30 minute drive to Belfast, Rockport, Camden and Rockland, charming downeast seaside towns.
