Te Waipounamu / South Island: soggiorni in chalet

My family and I really enjoy staying at Adrian’s place during our stay in NZ. It is spacious with a mountain & lake view as advertised. Very peaceful surroundings and close to Lake Ohau. Great place for stargazing at night too. Great communication - Adrian has provided us clear instructions on how to get to the Airbnb and all the house rules. There is a fireplace available but we didn’t get a chance to use it as it was still quite warm during our stay. I highly recommend this place.

Tres agréable logement avec tout ce qu’il faut au niveau équipement. Le lieu est très isolé et avec une très belle vue. Promenade au départ du logement pour aller voir de l’autre côté de la colline, super! Le chemin pour accéder au logement peut sembler un peu particulier et "risquer " mais en fait se fait sans aucune difficulté ( sauf peut-être la 1ère fois de nuit et encore....)

Ivor and Robyn are so lovely. We loved the views and the animals and had a much needed peaceful nights sleep

we had a great time in Heidi's place. perfect location to do some hiking in Arthur's pass. House is just as she describes it, nothing too fancy, but definately does the trick.

The chalet is well located, it's a quiet and peaceful place. It's about 10 minutes walk from the Wanaka tree and about 25 minutes walk from downtown. The hosts have been responsive and attentive to our needs. We had a lovely time. Thank you so much.

Lovely place to stay. There was great surrounding places to eat and the beach right there. Rose welcomed us in and made us feel right at home. Would highly recommend as a place to stay.

We stayed here for a few days on either side of our helicopter wedding based out of Queenstown. The Goldleaf Chalet was an incredible place to stay and make a special time in our lives feel very special indeed. Practically every window has stunning views, and the spa was so relaxing to sit in and watch the clouds go by. The house is well equipped and so pleasant to be in. I definitely teared up as we left at check out. We'll never forgot our stay here 🥰

Firstly let us say everything about this property is simply stunning, the space, the views, the location and did I mention the views.. As hosts, Kelly and Chris were so responsive and helpful. We would hope to return at some time, unfortunately while we were there our stay was impacted with noise from an adjacent property hosting a wedding. We reported this to Chris and Kelly who intend to take the matter further. This does not impact our desire to return nor does it affect the five star review this property deserves.

If you are looking for a different kind of experience to break the noarm - this is it! Thomas must be the most creative person I've ever met. Walk around their house and magical garden to appreciate a lifetime of beautiful art-projects!

A beautiful location and a very warm welcome by Esther. Everything was very clean and tidy with clear instructions around the private and shared spaces about expectations of the guests. We had a private bedroom (double bed) and beautiful unobstructed view out over the bay. The bed was comfortable with plenty of blankets, and the shared lounge and kitchen spaces were warm and inviting. We have already booked for another stay after Christmas. The location is handy to many walks and attractions, anywhere from a 15 minute to 2 hours drive away, and the area is home to sea lions.

If you love the ocean, you’ll love this spot. It’s as close as you can get to the water. Gazing out onto the bay from the bed was epic. Also perfect for walks on the beach whenever you want. Very relaxing location.
