Good Life Cottage

Ahh....The Good Life Cottage is located approximately five miles north of Laurel, MS where it began on a patch of ground that was fully cultivated from the 1900's to the 1960's, afterwards it became a family farm that grew corn, hay, and food for livestock and family. Today, on the land is a farmhouse with modern amenities as well as the sights and sounds of nature all around you, frogs croaking, crickets chirping, deer feeding, turkeys foraging, and owls hooting. A place to enjoy the Good Life.

Cozy FarmHouse w Goats & GlassBlowing 5min to town

Located on Thomley’s Christmas Tree Farm, home to the only Glassblowing Hot Shop in Mississippi. Featured on HGTV’s “Hometown”, we welcome fans of the show. The house is 2,600sqft. New granite countertops and Wifi. We have 28 goats & 19 baby goats. Kidding season is Feb-Mar. Tree Farm is busy from Nov 15- Dec 15. The GlassBlowing studio is seasonal and stays busy Feb-April & Oct-Dec. We also have a nice Gallery. Thomley Farmers Market is the Last Saturday of the month 10am-2pm from April-August

Privacy awaits at "Tall Pines", our dog-friendly home features 3 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms with a large fenced in property that boasts over 30 mature pine tress. You can get away from everything while experiencing all that Laurel has to offer. FUN FACT: The main bedroom features 2 bathrooms, a 'his' and 'hers'. If you ever wondered if separate bathrooms were worth it, they are! You will just love visiting Laurel.

We were born and raised in the area,and it has always been a dream of ours to open a bed and breakfast on the old homestead property. We shared many cherished memories here, and it is our hope that our guest will be able to create their own during their stay. Hough Hill is furnished with family heirlooms that have been passed down through many generations. Enjoy easy access to popular shops and restaurants inLaurel from this cozy cottage. Our home was featured on HGTV’s HomeTown. While we live in the main house, we had Katie (contractor on show) remodel the two rooms behind us as guest rooms. We have added carvings to the landscape, a whole house generator, and a few places to sit and enjoy the outside. Our episode was called Woodland Wonderland, but better known as the Hobbit House.
