Hillrise Cottage is a peaceful and picturesque property on a hill above the gum trees with spectacular views of the Grampians to the west. 15 km from Ararat and 30 km from Halls Gap, Hillrise Cottage is a great base for exploring the beautiful Grampians region, (30mins away), taking in the local wineries or just relaxing. Chill out in this unique home, stroll around the 6 acre property and check out the large dam, beautiful trees and abundant wildlife. Hillrise is 2.5 hours west of Melbourne.

Halls Gap Cottages couples retreat (Blue Gum)

Situated just 1.8 km from the main shops, Halls Gap Cottages are a perfect peaceful retreat for couples. Set in a tranquil treed setting under the famous Pinnacle. Enjoy a secluded getaway and watch the wildlife in their natural environment. Halls Gap Cottages are two modern, stylish brand new units with fully appointed kitchens, the bedroom has a king bed and large ensuite with spa and walk in shower, you have your own washing machine and dryer. There is air-conditioning and a wood fire.

Stoneycroft Cottage - Farm Stay

A peaceful 1864 farm stay nestled amongst 600+ year old red gums with picturesque mountain views. Immersed in wild life, native flora, and epic scenery; nature awaits. Stay in our historic bluestone STONEYCROFT COTTAGE (2 b/r, sleeps 4) and adjoining shearers quarters (5 b/r, sleeps 11). The Cavendish Bunyip hotel and tranquil Settlers walk are 5 mins drive away, whilst Dunkeld's scenic mountains and great eateries are 20 minutes drive. Pets are very welcome but strictly not inside please.

Mount Cole Cottages - Kookaburra Cottage

Kookaburra Cottage - Two bedroom eco cottage (built 2017) situated on our 13 acres bush property. Relax on the property or use it as a base for bush walking in the nearby Mount Cole State forest or visiting the Pyrenees wineries. Abundant wildlife including wallabies, echidnas & a wide assortment of birdlife. We are 15 km from Beaufort. Cosy cast iron chiminea on the deck; firewood supplied. Sadly, the historic meditation temple (c.1995) was destroyed in the February 2024 bushfire.

A place to unwind and reconnect with life’s simple pleasures, exquisite sunrises, glorious sunsets and some well-earned downtime all set at the foot of the Grampians National Park.

The cottage is light and airy with full picture windows facing the mountains, this includes the main bedroom. A deck also allows outdoor access of the same views. It is fully self contained and you do not have to share any part of it with others not in your group. Both bedrooms and the lounge room have reverse cycle air conditioners, and ceiling fans. Fast WIFI is also available at the cottage, perfect for those working away from home.

The recently restored cottage, has been in the family since the 1920’s. Halls Gap has not been affected by fire and it is safe to come and stay. From the 29th Jan - 2nd Feb only the main room is available. Kookaburra Downs is a cute & quaint log cabin cottage and a great space to relax and unwind. Luxury two person oval spa located in the Master Bedroom and wood fire for a romantic getaway. Situated in the heart of the Grampians with mountain views. Approximately 2km from Halls Gap Village.
