Unique and peaceful. If you are looking for a unique place to stay this is it. A boathouse with a view in a small town. Very clean and quiet the conversation starter.

I enjoyed my stay and would definitely book again the next time I come to the St Louis area. The house was clean, quiet, and comfortable. It is located in a good neighborhood and it is a short drive to restaurants and shopping.

This was our second stay at the Main Street Hideaway. We love the location and John is the best host ever. He’s friendly and the communication before, during and after the stay is phenomenal. The house is in an ideal location- not only close to anything you would want to go in St Charles, but easy access to I70 and easy to get to St Louis, Chesterfield and St Peter’s. The house is a cozy cottage appropriately outfitted with everything to make your stay perfect.

Our 4th stay and as always such a delight. We love the peacefulness of this getaway. The location is close enough to drive to St. Charles for a delicious dinner. Cozy is the best description for this property. Hosts are always in touch prior to arrival and instructions are clear. Well maintained and very clean. We will return again!

We had a lovely time staying at this quaint little Airbnb in Newtown. The location was perfect, offering easy access to everything St. Charles has to offer. The space itself was cozy and comfortable, providing a relaxing atmosphere after a day of exploring. While the Airbnb appeared to be fairly new, we did find that the kitchen lacked some essential cooking items. This might be something to consider for future guests who plan on doing a lot of cooking during their stay. Overall, we would recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a charming and enjoyable stay in St. Charles.

This is an amazing place to stay if you have a large group! Also, even though some places in St. Louis aren’t the safest, we personally all felt safe during our stay. We were a group of 8 adults and 6 young kids, ages 5 to newborn (3 families). We came down for a wedding at the St. Louis and we also went to a Cardinals game which both were close by! The kitchen was a great size and space. And even with so many of us, I was worried we wouldn’t have enough space in general, but there was! The game room was such a hit too! Also, there is a lot of stairs to keep in mind. Lastly, my husband and 3 children’s stayed in the top floor and there was a water pressure issue (it was very low, hard to shower efficiently) which we contacted the host about and they promptly send someone to fix and it was a city issue unfortunately. Regardless, amazing stay. I’ve stayed at many Airbnb’s and these hosts were so quick to response and incredibly respectful and kind. Highly recommend!

Perfect little place for a quiet weekend getaway. Monica was very responsive and the cabin was well stocked with everything you could need, and very cute touches. Very much enjoyed the weekend. Would stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at this home which was in a wonderful neighborhood very close to many stores and restaurants. It was also close enough to St. Louis for easy commutes for day trips to downtown St. Louis. The home had a nice layout, was clean, and provided plenty of space for our family of 4. The host was very responsive and proactive.

This was exactly what we were looking for! Peace after a long week of stress and showing at Purina. Each day we were able to return to “home” and be at peace. The entire vibe, spirit and soul of this lodge is phenomenal. We enjoyed it immensely! Every single person in our party thoroughly enjoyed it. Can’t wait to make this a yearly adventure ❤️
