Sri Lanka: soggiorni in B&B

Hareesz was very friendly and helpful. Everything was to our satisfaction. The house is situated near the lake in a quiet environment. It is only about a 10 minutes walk to the town center. There are restaurants nearby. I would immediately go there again if I am visiting Kandy.

Renuka is such a gracious host. We stayed in a family room on our first night when we landed in Colombo. She gave us a great recommendation for a dinner spot. Our room initially had only 3 sleeping spots (we were 2 adults and 2 small kids) but she gave us a second room when we requested an extra bed. She also made us a lovely breakfast the next day with some delicious butterfly pea tea she had made. She even gave me some seeds to sow at home. A great first stay to kick off our Sri Lankan adventures!

Es war einer unserer schönsten Aufenthalte in einer Unterkunft. Die Aussicht war atemberaubend. Man konnte von der Terrasse aus auf einen Wasserfall schauen, während man wilde Affen beim klettern zuschauen konnte. Als Begrüßung gab es Tee und Süßgebäck. Ich habe noch nie so einen flexiblen und gastfreundlich Host erlebt wie Dileepa. Er hat uns eine selbstgezeichnete Karte gegeben, auf dem alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten und gute Restaurants in der Umgebung markiert waren und hat uns erklärt zu welcher Zeit man am besten was unternehmen kann. Wir haben neben einem super leckerem Frühstück sogar ganz früh morgens eine kleine Stärkung für die Wanderung bekommen, damit wir den Sonnenaufgang auf dem little adams Peak genießen konnten. Er hat uns sogar angeboten uns sowohl von der City abzuholen, als auch am Ende zum Bahnhof zu bringen. Einen besseren Host kann man sich nicht wünschen und wir bereuen nur, dass wir nicht mehr Tage gebucht haben um länger zu bleiben. :)

Ich war alleine unterwegs und habe ein paar Tage in dieser Unterkunft in Mirissa verbracht. Der Aufenthalt war insgesamt sehr angenehm. Besonders die Lage ist hervorragend – ruhig, aber dennoch nah am Strand und ideal, um zu entspannen. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war in Ordnung. Die Unterkunft selbst hat Charme und bietet eine solide Basis, besonders für Alleinreisende. Allerdings ist die Inneneinrichtung schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Vor allem das Badezimmer hätte eine Auffrischung nötig: Die Dusche war etwas heruntergekommen, der Duschkopf wirkte nicht mehr richtig sauber, und der Toilettendeckel war leider kaputt. Auch die Wände wirkten stellenweise beschmiert, und der Wasserhahn am Waschbecken sah ziemlich ranzig aus. Es wäre schön, wenn in Zukunft einige dieser Dinge erneuert oder saniert würden – das würde den Aufenthalt deutlich aufwerten. Trotz dieser kleineren Mängel habe ich mich wohlgefühlt und würde bei einer entsprechenden Renovierung gerne wiederkommen.

One of the most amazing Airbnb’s that we ever stayed. We had a wonderful time here. From the amazing food, beautiful location, to sleeping with only the sounds of the forest, everything was as we hoped. Such an amazing place Maulie has created here. A beautiful human being, always ready to give tips about the surroundings, or tell about the reforestation project. Definitely recommend if you enjoy nature and being off the beaten track in a unique location.

Sehr große Empfehlung! Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit bei Nimal! Er war super freundlich, hat uns sehr viele hilfreiche Tipps gegeben und tolle Ideen, was wir unternehmen können. Er hat uns auch geholfen, die Zugtickets nach Kandy zu buchen, da wir nichts reserviert hatten. Die Unterkunft ist ruhig gelegen, hat einen wahnsinnig schönen Ausblick und ein super Frühstück! Man kommt zu Fuß sehr gut in die Stadt und es ist ein super Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Danke für die gute Zeit!

Had one of the best experiences at Sunrise palace, we missed our flight and needed a quick booking for a place to stay, I bumped into Sunrise Palace and instantly was booked in. I got to the air bnb it's in the inside street but once the gate opens it looks beautiful, the place is big, sleeps alot of people, extremely clean, balcony in the rooms, extremely clean washrooms, impeccable stay I had the service was phenomenal, the food was fresh and tasty, we all had the omelet and wow it tasted so healthy and gave us fruits and fresh juice, as well as water bottles. This place is just amazing and I will be back in March thank you so much !

Sudesh's place is a dream! Super quiet with sourrounding jackfruit and palm trees. His mother and wife were cooking amazing sri lankan lunch and dinner for only a few dollars extra. The including breakfast with different type of fruit and baverages was really good. Sudesh is also owener of a tuktuk pick up which is really helpful to get into town. This homestay is defenetly recommended and is one of the prettiest we stayed at.

Mon séjour chez Lilu était sublime, un des plus beaux Airbnb que j’ai fait. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux et la vue est imprenable ! Merci pour tout ❤️

We hebben het geluk gehad om Anais en haar vriend effectief te ontmoeten, zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam met betrekking tot activiteiten, leuke restaurantjes en bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving. Gangia heeft heerlijk ontbijt gemaakt en was zeer gastvrij, makkelijk benaderbaar, ze liet ons direct zeer welkom voelen. Verder een proper appartement, met leuke inrichting. Goede locatie dicht bij het strand en leuke winkels en goede restaurants. Zou het zeker aanraden!

Perfect place for a little romantic getaway in the beautiful Galle fort! You couldn't ask for a better location, kinder hosts, and a more delicious breakfast. Highly recommend staying at the Dutch Wall:)

Sommes restés 4 nuits, très beau logement, belle cuisine, tout est fonctionnel.Tres bon accueil de Nisha, toujours souriante et prête à vous rendre service. Elle a même adapté le petit déjeuner à la française qui est copieux ... elle a réservé un scooter pour nous, bus, tuk tuk à proximité, petite supérette de dépannage, très bon restaurant pas cher à 5 mn sur la plage. Nous recommandons fortement.

Wir hatten eine super schöne Zeit in unserer „Dreamtime Lodge“. Alles super authentisch, sauber & genau so eingerichtet, wie auf den Fotos. Eine tolle Auszeit im Dschungel! Das ganze Personal war super freundlich und stets hilfsbereit. Unser Highlight war das tolle Frühstück. Alles sehr lecker, abwechslungsreich und liebevoll hergerichtet. Sehr freundlicher, zuvorkommender und netter Empfang! Toller Service! Herausragendes und üppiges Essen (sowohl Abendessen, als auch Frühstück), außerdem ein super Lunch Paket. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es war alles sehr sauber und der Pool lädt zum entspannen ein. Kann ich nur empfehlen!

Die Unterkunft bei Jasmin ist ein wahrer Traum. Alles war sehr liebevoll und die Terrasse mit der Hängematte wird uns immer im Kopf bleiben. Auch die süßen Hunde, die uns sogar zum Strand begleitet haben und das leckere Frühstück waren wirklich toll. Schönste Unterkunft auf der ganzen Reise. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt hier. Das Zimmer war sauber, die Terrasse ein tolles Plus. Ganz toll war auch das Trinkwasser, das zu Verfügung gestellt wird. Manoj und seine Familie haben uns jeden Morgen ein top Frühstück direkt auf unsere Terrasse serviert. In 2 Minuten ist man am schönen ruhigen Strand, wo man schwimmen und surfen kann. Manoj war jederzeit erreichbar und hat schnell geantwortet und geholfen. Alles wunderbar, hier macht man nichts falsch :)

Unser Aufenthalt im Ketature Beach House in Weligama war wunderschön und ein echtes Highlight unserer Reise! Die herzliche Gastfreundschaft der Familie hat uns sofort willkommen geheißen und dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns wie zu Hause gefühlt haben.Besonders begeistert waren wir von dem großartigen Kochkurs, den wir gemeinsam erleben durften. ein Abend voller Lachen, Gespräche und köstlichem Essen, das wir selbst zubereitet haben. Die liebevolle Art der Familie machte diesen Moment zu etwas ganz Besonderem.Die Lage des Beach House ist unvergleichlich – nur 20 Meter vom Strand entfernt. Morgens konnten wir direkt zum Meer laufen und abends die Sonnenuntergänge genießen. Das Essen im Beach House war immer lecker, abwechslungsreich, zubereitet mit Liebe und Hingabe. Dieser Ort ist perfekt für alle, die Gastfreundschaft, gutes Essen und die Nähe zum Meer suchen! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We had another wonderful stay in the villa this year. This time I didn't book directly by the sea, but a little further back. The room was very big and the two beds were very comfortable. The terrace was a dream, where I could enjoy my coffee every morning at 7 a.m. with a great view of the sea. Breakfast was as delicious as always and really plentiful (great Sri Lankan breakfast on request) ❤️ The whole team is as helpful and friendly as always. You come as a guest and leave as a friend. Thank you, dear Maria, to you and your fantastic team.🙏❤️

Soorya Kala was our first accommodation in Sri Lanka, and I can only say it was the perfect start to our trip! The place is very modern, beautifully decorated, and absolutely clean. The location is a dream – right on the beach, with restaurants and shops within walking distance, and you can listen to the waves while falling asleep. The breakfast is included and incredibly delicious! But what impressed us the most was the hospitality from Nagulan and the whole team. We felt completely at home and would definitely recommend this place!

My stay at the Native was great. Diana and everyone who works there are so friendly and helpful. It was nice to be a little inland from the beach and see a different part of Weligama. Definitely walkable, but renting a scooter makes it more convenient. The breakfasts and coffee in the morning were all very delicious and a very nice added value to the room.
