After a long day of fishing, boating, or hiking, the home welcomes you with a stocked kitchen, outdoor grill, TVs in each room & a soaking tub. Relaxation awaits!

Historic House Close to Fredericksburg

Travel back in time nearly 200 years and stay at the Bazil Gordon House -built by America's first millionaire. Circa 1820, this house started as the private home of Bazil Gordon a short walk from his trading outpost in Historic Falmouth, VA directly on the Rappahannock River. The house has also been a civil war hospital, a stop on the underground railroad, a tavern, an excavation site that found venetian trade beads in the back yard, and it is now completely remodeled in 2021 to host guests.

Situated on 1 acre of wooded privacy, this home is a short 5 minute walk to the lake and all the common area has to offer. Swim at the beach, fish off the shore or dock, play tennis, basketball or volleyball and come back to relax at the firepit. There is a boat slip that may be used and ample parking for boat trailer.
