The Live Oak Cottage is a beautiful guest house situated under sprawling live oak trees. The suite and main house was originally a US Coast Guard Lifesaving Station built in 1901 - and moved to its current location in the 60s. The suite has been restored to bring it up to date with modern amenities, while retaining its rustic charm. A kitchenette, with fridge, toaster, plug in cook top + more. The cottage stands along the oceanfront in quaint area of Kitty Hawk beach. Very small cottage limited to 2 guests. Remodeled and designed in vintage beach flair. The cottage reminds me of the way coastal homes used to be: simple ; yet, thougthfully integrated into the environment. Approximately 800 square ft. of intimate living space with spacious deck for getting closer to the sea and sky. I provide all the clean linens .Please have prior reviews and be over 29 years of age.

This 1 bedroom stand alone apt is incredible, its tucked into a unique space thats totally private yet close to all the northern Outer Banks has to offer. It has two large decks and 1 has views of the ocean. Follow the grass driveway to the street and walk 100ft to the ocean. You will not find a more well thought out space for 2 people than this spot. *There may be some construction noise during the day next door at the main house for the last two weeks of June and first week of July.

Historic Beach Cottage 700ft to ocean #singlestory

This is a true {mid-century modern} historic and classic cottage. It was built in 1956 by Frank Stick. Frank was a local artist and developer and started the “flat-top” movement in Southern Shores. We have worked hard to modernize this classic and bring it back to life with some fun twists! The porch is our favorite feature. It is 1200 sq feet of screened in, relaxing bliss. Outside family dinners and corn hole tournaments are our family’s way of relaxing at this sweet cottage!

Our apartment is located on the first floor of our home, which is one of the only Solar Powered homes in the Outer Banks! Just a 5 minute walk to the beach and a short bike ride or drive to the sound, we have a perfect location which is close to everything. Our space includes the use of our outdoor shower and beach parking passes. We have a great yard for lounging, sun bathing or playing with dogs. Come and check out our "Cave" by the waves!
