We had a great stay! There was an issue with the plumbing and the hosts were very responsive and had it fixed the same afternoon. There was also a lot of snow during our stay and the hosts were kind enough to be flexible with our check-out time. The house was very cosy (including a Christmas tree for the duration of our stay!) and the hosts were very responsive and friendly, would certainly stay here again!

Great location and accommodation for our family get together. Really appreciated the countryside and culture, and then relaxing and making the most of the facilities. Thanks Andrew!

We had a great stay at the property—it was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Communication with the host was smooth throughout. After our stay, we realized we had accidentally left an item behind, and the host was kind enough to arrange to send it back to us. We covered the postage costs, but really appreciated their help. Would happily stay again!

We stayed in the Manor for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with our relations from Australia. We had a fantastic stay! The rooms were a perfect size and could fit us all in for games and entertaining ourselves, the kitchen was fully stocked with all the crockery and glassware we needed, the children loved the games room and the hot tub and the house was beautifully adorned with Christmas decorations. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this characterful house.

Lovely rural spot, plenty of dog walking options locally. Very comfortable house.

Colin's place was lovely, we felt right at home! Loved all the quirky collections around the house. Everything in the house was clearly thought out especially the binder! It had everything from house manuals to places to eat and explore around Thurlstone/Penistone. The location was an ideal base for nature walks/hikes as it's only a few steps from trans-penine trail. It was lovely to meet Colin on our way out too!

Brown Bread Cottage is a great place to stay for easy access to brilliant walking without using the car! It is situated in a quiet road away from the main tourist hot spots. The garden amenities are very good including a small safe fenced area for the dog to be off lead. We found the house clean and well appointed for 4 guests with a well equipped kitchen. The bedding was pristine! Andre was the perfect host. We hope to return! Thank you Andre

We loved our visit to the Peaks and the Lower Styx was an amazing location to stay. In Castleton itself, there is so much that is walkable with ease - more pubs than we could count, places to grab tea / coffee, curious little shops - as well as a lovely little river stroll, a hilly walk etc. But it was also a great place to explore the wider area. The apartment was really comfortable with an excellent bed and all you need to rustle up a bite to eat. We found the history information about the property really interesting including the personal story of how Emma landed there in the first place. Thanks 🙏

A charming, comfortable gypsy caravan in a beautiful campground with a lovely ambience. Lots of lovely places to visit in the area. Everyone was very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. I would recommend this caravan and the little oaks campground as a whole.

Sharon accommodated us very last minute & made us feel very welcome throughout our 5 day stay. The accommodation is quite small, but the location is really lovely, on the edge of the Peak District. Lots of walks and lovely pubs nearby.

Simon was extremely helpful as soon as we booked. He provided very concise directions and communicated with us well. He was helpful with flexible check-in too. Simon welcomed us on arrival but had provided us with all the information we needed for the key safe should he not be in. The flat was lovely, very spacious, comfy and well equipped. Simon's home is situated in a very beautiful area, close to Holmfirth with its many bars, vibrant night life, eateries and shops and also the surrounding countryside too.

A really ideal place to stay with simple but great facilities and careful thoughts to the details. Check in was easy and there is plenty of on street parking. The place was spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I had a great one night stay at Jane's place. The rooms are lovely and even nicer than in the photos. The beds were really comfortable and it was quiet and peaceful with a beautiful view of the park and hills behind the house. Jane was really friendly and helpful but gave us space and privacy. It was especially nice to have a big variety of breakfast items plus lots of milk and also biscuits provided- the microwave, kettle and fridge in one of the bedrooms was really handy too. We would definitely book again- great value for 2 bedrooms and so cute too!

Lovely location, and great amenities / facilities. Lovely outside space with great views at the front and nice peaceful garden / patio at the back. Great communal space and lovely bedrooms. Sue's instructions on getting there very useful as Holmfirth very hilly and her guidance on roads and parking great!! Overall would highly recommend Sues place to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

We had a really nice stay at Lindsay's place. Great communication beforehand and she met us on arrival and we had a really nice chat. The flat is lovely and well equipped, and Lindsay had even sorted out bread and milk, with breakfast cereal etc available which was really appreciated. A nice area with some good pubs and the walk into the centre of Sheffield is also not too far and past a very picturesque park We would definitely ask to stay again if going to Sheffield

A lovely stay at Rosie's place. Great communication, she also checked in with me to see if everything was ok. The place looks just like the pictures and is a really relaxing place to hang out in the evenings. I had a lovely stay there while in Sheffield for work. Thanks 🤗

Great property and owners. We stayed as 4 couples and 2 children and the house was plenty big enough with excellent facilities. The hosts were great , helpful and informative and we ate where they recommended - the Wortley arms - and it was great. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this house and we will hopefully be back soon.
