Back from a 4 night stay at Callow Barn. An outstanding property, immaculate and very spacious with the most spectacular views across the valley. Very well equipped and comfortable. We loved the rural setting,watching the lambs play and pheasant visits. Even saw a deer. The host is very helpful and informative. My friends and I agree that this is our favourite property that we have stayed.The area is stunning,so much to see and do without traveling miles.

A really ideal place to stay with simple but great facilities and careful thoughts to the details. Check in was easy and there is plenty of on street parking. The place was spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

Fab house with absolutely everything you could need in the. Great location. Only a short walk to a few pubs. We went to The Woodman for lunch which was lovely. The house has loads of space and a huge outdoor area with amazing views. We were lucky and got some sun on Easter Sunday. Also has a fire pit in the garden for when it cools down which we used. The kitchen is very well equipped and the oven is fab for making a dinner for a big family. Would definitely return. Thanks for a great stay.

This property was so so beautiful and perfect for two people! Andrea was so helpful the whole time we were there and responded quickly to any questions we had. I would definitely recommend!

We had a great stay at the property—it was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Communication with the host was smooth throughout. After our stay, we realized we had accidentally left an item behind, and the host was kind enough to arrange to send it back to us. We covered the postage costs, but really appreciated their help. Would happily stay again!

Beautiful setting, cottage was spacious, comfortable and spotless! Kids loved the animals (especially the chickens and their eggs!) and it was so easy to do walks from the house. Highly recommend!

Angela's Mallard Cottage is spectacular! A four-storey beautiful, welcoming house that provided everything we needed for a special birthday celebration. We had ample space with the choice of comfortable bedrooms, the relaxing living room, a well-stocked kitchen space, and ambient garden with hot tub and bird song overlooking the trees and sunny skies. We couldn't have wanted for more! We loved the duck themed decor and the little touches everywhere to welcome us - the generous basket of food and drinks, a birthday card and chocolates, dressing gowns and slippers. What made it extra sweet was the fact we had our previously booked property cancelled at short notice that morning and so Angela and her team pulled out all of the stops to get the cottage prepared for us in a few hours. It saved the day and meant we'll always have beautiful memories of the weekend spent with old friends, in the cottage and the surrounding hillside walks.

We had a great stay in the Threshing Barn at Fall Head Farm over the Easter holidays. We were 6 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs and we had plenty of space. The barn is modern and well kitted out, the beds are comfy and the view from the garden is wonderful. The hot tub is a lovely addition. Emma is an exceptional host - friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. She even gave us some delicious, fresh eggs for lunch one day - which was so lovely of her (and they were delicious). There is a brilliant mountain biking track very close by (my nephews spent a lot of time in the woods there!), and lots of beautiful walks directly from the front door. Emma provides useful information upon arrival, including some recommendations of things to do. We enjoyed lunch at the Fountain in Ingbirchworth, and a walk around the reservoir there. Overall, we had a great stay as a large family and would recommend a stay here.

Beautiful house and spotlessly clean. Great location close to Penistone with lots of pubs nearby. We felt at home and Kay was always responsive and helpful.

Beautiful and cosy little suite, host was very friendly, responsive and I felt very welcomed even with me bringing my two large dogs. The suite was ideal for the dogs as they had a secure, enclosed little space to go outside. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area, Helen was a lovely host and made us all feel right at home! Only real thing to point out was she does have two dogs herself that occasionally bark at noise but for someone like me this is a non-factor and personally doesn't bother me at all and it is disclosed in the description of the property. They were quiet for the majority of the stay even though I also had two dogs myself, with one of them being a fairly chatty husky. Would definitely consider staying again whenever I'm in the area! 5/5.

Wow! This place certainly makes an impression. What a beautiful space. Loved all the little areas of the home which were all a feature in themselves. The kitchen was beautiful and was well equipped for me to make a meal. Luxurious bathroom and toiletries, comfy bed and a beautiful view from it. Loved laying in bed and listening to the church bells (don't worry not too early) and looking up through the velux windows at the trees. Thank you!

The property is very characterful and as described. The kitchen is well-equipped and the bed is comfortable. You will hear the trains from the bedroom but they didn't worry me at all and they obviously stop overnight. The little garden area would be a lovely place to sit out in good weather.

What a wonderful stay we have had. The Cow Shed provided us with everything we could possibly need for a spacious, clean and peaceful stay. Excellent communication with hosts and suggestions of things to do in the local area. Would definitely recommend for families or groups of friends.

Mark and Hillary are excellent hosts, Speedwell Barn is a perfect spot to base a hiking holiday, all local trails accessible from the doorstep, and at least 7 pubs to choose from within 5 minutes’ walk. Kitchen has everything you need and the place is very cosy and warm. Large garden and great views. Thank you Mark and Hillary!

We had a great stay as a family. Spacious, clean and modern. We felt right at home and my son especially loved the pool table!

We spent a delightful 4 days at Julie's in early April as a family of 4. The cottage was a perfect size for our group and kitted out well for cooking, with great laundry facilities, tons of books, games and movies available. The location is perfect for exploring the area and you're only minutes from town, yet the property feels so private and peaceful. The entire space was lovely and super clean. The hosts are on the property and provided great communication throughout our stay, plus had helpful local recommendations. We had a great time and plan to return!

Der Aufenthalt in dieser Ferienwohnung war wirklich phantastisch. Alles sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Wohnung ist perfekt ausgestattet. Alles sinnvoll Benötigt war da. In sehr hoher Qualität und wirklich extrem sauber und gepflegt. (Kein überflüssiger oder störender Schnickschnack). Das Bett war das Beste an das ich mich in über dreißig Jahren "auf Reisen" erinnern kann. Sogar waschen und trocknen kann man beinahe kostenlos, was für professionell Reisende wie mich bei längeren Aufenthalten von unschätzbarem Wert ist. (Wer sitzt schon gerne am Wochenende stundenlang im Waschsalon)? Die Lage ist ebenfalls sehr schön und lädt nach der Arbeit zu Spaziergängen in die Landschaft ein. Nachts ist es sehr hier ruhig und leise. Nichts stört einen erholsamen Schlaf. Alles zusammen ein perfekter Aufenthalt. Sehr empfehlenswert für Einzelpersonen oder Paare, die einen angenehmen Aufenthalt in einer wirklich schön eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestatteten Wohnung in der Nähe von Huddersfield verbringen möchten.

The cottage was very comfortable and well-equipped, set in beautiful surroundings providing access to great walks, local pubs and restaurants. Julie provided clear instructions, was welcoming but not obtrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Losehill Cottage. No hesitation in recommending it.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage over the Easter weekend. The location is great—less than a 30-minute drive to the Peak District National Park and Chatsworth House, which made for some great day trips. The local pub, The Miners Arms, served excellent food, and we also enjoyed a delicious Thai takeaway via Deliveroo one evening. The property itself is clean and simple, ideal for a relaxing stay. It’s probably best suited for guests who prefer takeaways or eating out, as opposed to cooking. The owner was very responsive and helpful, promptly assisting us with things like adjusting the thermostat and hot water when the weather turned colder than expected. Overall, a great base for exploring the area with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
