Cabin on Cairn Geal Croft, Waternish, Isle of Skye

A cosy, open-plan cabin for two on the Waternish peninsula, overlooking the sea with outstanding views across Loch Snizhort to the ferry port of Uig, and south to Raasay and the mainland. The Cabin is on a small croft/farm and lies within its own garden. The Cabin has a maritime theme, free wifi, plenty of books & maps and a well provided kitchen. The Waternish peninsula offers abundant wildlife, and in the hamlet of Stein, next to the sea, a lovely old pub and a Michelin starred restaurant .

The Cuckoo's Nest Glamping Huts: Woody

This is one of two glamping huts at The Cuckoo’s Nest. Inspired by traditional Celtic roundhouses these cosy wooden huts are situated in the beautiful remote crofting township of Locheynort in the Isle of South Uist. Conveniently located approximately a mile from the main road linking the Isles of Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula and North Uist, the huts are an idyllic base from which to explore the islands, to pause whist travelling along the Hebridean Way, or to take a relaxing short break.

In late summer it is surrounded by lovely purple heather which grows freely and abundantly spreading its glorious purple hues across our hills and glens. Newly installed in 2021, the Cabin (often called a Storm Pod) is a self-contained luxury haven. Perched beside a small fresh-water loch and overlooking Loch Boisdale. It has a ¾ double bed, single bed and a fold-down bunk. Cooking facilities and a separate shower with WC. Outside there's a fenced courtyard with great Hebridean views for your enjoyment. Although there is sleeping for 4 available, the accommodation is more suited to couples or single occupancy.
