Malinggo Homestay- keep Cottage

Built in the midst of beautiful hills, away from the hustles of town is a small village, where I run my homestay- "Malinggo". Malinggo is a name of a bamboo type that is locally found. The Homestay is surrounded by beautiful trees, flowers, hills, local residents and organic fields. Trekking, hiking, village walk and bird watching are some of the adventures that can be done here. Eat the local food and alcohol, enjoy the nature and live like a local when you're here all by staying with us.

Kora is a family run BNB with a restaurant within the vicinity. We are famous for the Chef’s pizza which is freshly made & guests can enjoy a sip of chilled beer/coffee or a lunch date gazing at the serene paddy fields under the open sky surrounded by nature with unmatched view of the hill for hours. Teesta homestay is conveniently located about 1.8 km from the town. Famous sites like Darjeeling zoo, himalayan mountaineering institute, Happy Valley tea estate and Ropeway are located just walking distance away. There are 4 rooms in total with 2 shared bathrooms. This posting is for Room 2 with a view. Room 1, Room 3 and Traveler's room are also available. Hot water flask and hot water bag is provided, electric heater and usage of fireplace cost extra.

Yangsum Heritage Farm

Drive through groves of bamboo to a beautiful rustic heritage farmhouse which was built in 1833 and remodeled in 1966. The homestay is run by my wife, Pema and me, we manage the 44-acre mountain farm which consists of open mixed forest of pine, Himalayan alder, schima, chestnut, magnolia, rhododendrons, cherry also farm cardamom, ginger, mangoes, peaches and tea. The accommodation is simple and rustic with wood paneled room
