Mohammad's camp is a friendly place in a peaceful location where you are made to feel right at home and very well looked after. It's popular with Jordanians as well as tourists which is always a good sign! Mohammad created an experience for us which included spending time with a Bedouin family, visiting his own family in the village, a day shepherding goats in the mountains and a four-day hike to Petra, wild camping in stunning locations along the way. Mohammad was on hand throughout to make sure we had everything we needed, and the whole thing was very well organised. His brother Suleiman who guided us was a brilliant guide and we left with a feeling of having had a very special opportunity to learn first-hand about the way of life in the area, as well as loads of fun. Mohammad recommended a different route to Petra rather than the usual Jordan Trail and it was incredibly beautiful. Would absolutely recommend. Massive thanks to Mohammad and Suleiman for the great time we had.

Little Petra With Rooftop

One of the best camping experience ever had, Ayman is a wonderful person, he already had many tourists so he really knows how to handle them, the camping experience was incredible stunning and the view breath taking, plus I do really advice the dinner that is delicious!

Yousef’s cottage is an amazing place. It’s strategically located at few minutes drive from Little Petra. It’s surrounded by beautiful mountains and at night is extremely peaceful and calm. The best moment is in the morning when you wake up and enjoy the view of the mountains from the garden 🤩 The place is recommended for those who are looking (and ready) for a full immersion in the Petra’s atmosphere and lifestyle. Thank you Yousef for hosting us. We hope to be back soon in your wonderful place !

Gorgeous Estate in Little Petra Jordan

I enjoyed my stay here and wish I had time to stay longer. I will definitely request to book in the future when I make it back to Jordan! I also got to enjoy a home-cooked meal with the host along with a good conversation. He was very flexible and accommodating to me regarding check-in and checkout and I very much appreciated that. The host also has good recommendations and tips for exploring the ruins at Petra. Thank you for having me!

We loved staying here and Attallah was a wonderful host. We had a delicious dinner with him (that he prepared himself) our first night and he gave us very honest and helpful advice for traveling to Petra and Little Petra. The room was incredibly comfortable and clean. He also went out and got us a special goat milk drink fresh made by the neighbors because we expressed interest in trying it. Great experience!

Suite à un contretemps nous sommes arrivées très tard dans le camp alors que nous devions profiter de la région au moins une demi-journée. Nous sommes réparties le lendemain assez tôt. nous n'avons pas du tout profité de la réserve de Dana et pourtant l'accueil que nous avons reçu était parfait. J'espère pouvoir revenir dans le camp pour faire ce qu'il y a à faire !

What an amazing place. Stunning views, clean and comfortable chalets, and wonderful company. Lovely to escape to such peaceful surroundings and meet some great people.

Authentic Bedouin Cave Little Petra

Dormir dans une grotte Bédouine, quelle extraordinaire expérience . Une chambre très correcte et surtout un environnement naturel. Le tout sous les étoiles à proximité de l’entrée de Little Petra . Ayman est attentionné , souriant et apaisant , entouré d’une famille fantastique . C’est une très belle personne . Les discussions autour d’un thé et les moments passés ensemble sont gravés à jamais . Ces 2 jours resteront inoubliables ! Je le conseille aux amoureux de la nature , des plaisirs simples et à ceux qui veulent vivre de l’extraordinaire.

Al Bayda, Cave Bedouin Experiences

We absolutely loved our stay with Ayman! Not only was the accommodation in such a mesmerising location, but the experience of sleeping in our own cave with nature also added to the experience. Ayman is extremely hospitable and is a local tour guide at little Petra who looks after you with anything you want to do and any local recommendations. At an extra cost, we were also able to have dinner made by Ayman’s mother and brought to the cave which was not only tasty, but very plentiful. We have never met a host so lovely and as keen to give a local Jordanian experience as Ayman. We would highly recommend this accommodation if you enjoy nature and this type of experience. The only issue we had was Ayman experiencing trouble with his Airbnb account and so we couldn’t contact him when we arrived. However, he spends majority of his time at little Petra, which is where you can locate him or ask the locals. He is more contactable on whatap. Airbnb provide his number once you book.
