We loved everything about our stay. Very unique experience and cozy. Bed was comfortable.

Stayed here for a girls weekend and it was absolutely perfect! Everything was as described. I reached out several times for recommendations prior to our trip and they were extremely helpful each time. They even have lots of brochures and pamphlets for local attractions and restaurants waiting for you when you get there! We are definitely planning on visiting again and will be staying here without a doubt!

We did a mountain get away for our anniversary. Cici was a great host we enjoyed talking with her.Everyhing was like it was listed especially the banana bread and apple butter.We definitely would come back again.We enjoyed going to Luray Caverns and and Shenandoah skyline drive close to her house. My family loved the house! It's lovely with large rooms! Great kitchen and dining area! We loved the porch and property! So thankful to be able to take our dog too!

This was a special grandma & grandson trip designed to make my 10-year old feel special and make lifetime memories. LaVaun and James have prepared a lovely space that delivers peace and quiet, and a sense of being at home. The Springhouse is well equipped and quite comfortable. We were welcomed upon arrival by James and Blue, a sweet and friendly farm dog. We soon met LaVaun and were invited to share the backyard and enjoy watching the sheep and cows. This was the perfect "basecamp" for us to explore Luray Caverns, attractions in Harrisonburg, and Dinosaur Land. Our favorite things about the Springhouse were waking up to the sheep grazing right outside our windows while eating breakfast and daily escorts by Blue. The Springhouse may be one of my most favorite rentals and I would definitely consider a return trip here. "Thank you" to the Janney family for a wonderful stay!

My stay was great. Besides a couple cosmetic blemishes, the house was exactly what you'd expect from a cabin in the woods. There is going to be a couple bugs and some dirt. It's a cabin. If you're expecting it to be spotless, why are you looking up cabin in the woods. Elise was super kind, she met with my mom and told her a little about the place. I loved that she left us some great, local things to have for breakfast. We really enjoyed the screened-in porch. (We spent the majority of our time out there.) I also appreciated that there was a tv for the nights where we could sit in and enjoy some movies. I spent a good amount of the day exploring the woods and stream behind the house. We got to see some snakes and newts. So much nature to enjoy. I would definitely recommend coming in fall or spring for perfect weather and easier to navigate woods. It was super close to local restaurants and the golf course (if thats your vibe). I would really recommend Miller Grille at the golf course for some pretty tasty food. Southern Kitchen also has some great fried chicken. One of the days we went to Endless Caverns. It was breath taking and the tour guide was hilarious. Before arriving, I was a bit nervous about navigating the gravel roads, but it wasn't an issue. If my tiny fiat can make it up the mountain, anything can.

James place was perfect for us! It felt just like home, very comfortable. We loved the coffee bar provided. James was a great host, we definitely recommend this stay!
