Easy walk to York racecourse and 15-20 min walk to the train station and city centre. 5 mins by taxi or bus, you can catch the bus almost outside the property serving York city centre and surrounding areas. There is a Co-op and Post Office a short walk away or there is a Tesco Extra (open 24 hours except Sunday) a short drive away. Ideal for solo travellers or couples.

The train station (0.7 miles) and the historic Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle (0.9 mile). Sainsburys local across the road.

Alder Cottage is a self contained annex with off street parking with space for one (or two) cars. Set in a peaceful, rural location 100meters from a small nature reserve. Whether you need a base for a weekend or short break. This location offers many options for exploring the local area either by walking or cycling. SELBY is 5 miles and York 15 miles away. The annex is a 5minute walk from the village of Hambleton where there are two local pubs one of which has an excellent all day menu.

Within walking distance of the train station and located right in the heart of the Old town. A free parking space a short walk away on high street is included, or on street parking at the front of the building is free between the hours of 6pm and 8.30am ( metered at other times).
