Scottish Borders: soggiorni in alloggi sull'acqua

We felt right at home immediately. We chose this place for our honeymoon in Edinburgh and it was the perfect place for us. Great view of the water out front, walkable distance to a few bars in the evening, and lovely accommodation. We slept great, cooked meals, and truly enjoyed our stay. If we ever make it back to Scotland, we would look to stay here again. ❤️

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit im Apartment. Die Bahn ist nur wenige Fußminuten entfernt. Ebenso ist auch ein Supermarkt (24/7 geöffnet) in der Nähe und von dort aus gibt es auch die Möglichkeit mit Bussen in die Stadt zu fahren. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Mooi appartement met veel bedden die handig in de ruimte zijn verdeeld. Het appartement is zowel dichtbij het centrum als dat het een rustig straatje is waar het ligt, zonder rumoer ‘s nachts. Zeer vriendelijk contact met de eigenaar. Als we weer in Edinburgh zijn, komen we graag weer terug😃

If you like a quiet place close to all the amenities, in easy driving distance of everything, this is perfect. Peebles itself is a lovely little town with a quaint but we'll proportioned high street. We had a relaxing break in this perfect flat that well suited our preference for self catering homely accommodation. a home away from home.

Clare's accommodation was as described. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Clare was great at responding to messages promptly and was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Spending a night in Clare's accommodation met our needs completely and helped our trip to be an enjoyable success.

Felt right at home at The Crows Nest. Loved this house which was bright, welcoming and tastefully decorated. It was perfectly located in the middle of Eyemouth with both sea and town views. Would highly recommend this place 👌

1 The Bay is a stunning place to stay, everything is as exactly as the host describes .The beach is lovely and a short walk away. Would definitely recommend as a place to chill out and unwind

Had such a great stay here, the house was immaculate, very tidy decor gave the house a home feel, felt comfortable as soon as I entered, a truly relaxing place. Clare was great, kept me very well informed, so much that I knew exactly what I needed to know without asking, she's a truly superb host. Will definately stay again on my next trip to Langholm. The house is in a great location to walk into town centre but peaceful also. This home is a great place to relax whilst you plan the next step of your journey.

We had an amazing stay, the location and facilities were perfect for easy access walks to the harbour and beach. Margaret is an amazing Airbnb host !

Super place to stay. We went as as an extended family with three kids under four. The kids had a ball...the garden is ideal and paddling down by the harbour was a great success. The smugglers' tunnell helped! The boys were excited to see a yellow hammer.. a bird i 'd never heard of !! Such a nice feel to the whole area.. must have been good as my daughters ended up doing yoga in the garden. Recommended.

es war wirklich ein schöner Aufenthalt. wir waren zu dritt un Mary war superlieb und nett. Die Unterkunft war gemütlich und in den Betten konnte man super schlafen. Auch im Wohnzimmer war es sehr gemütlich, man kann dort gut abends zusammen sitzen und lesen oder einfach reden. Es war alles sauber und die Umgebung war wunderschön. Man konnte sofort loswandern. Auch ist eine Busanbindung nach Edinburgh vorhanden, wobei man ein bisschen laufen muss bis zur Bushaltestelle. Mit Auto waren es 30

Had a fantastic couple of nights at Williams caravan. Booked last minute for my partners birthday. We took our 1 year old son and our dog with us, we’ve had such good time! The caravan was very clean and very spacious too. William was great host and was very responsive. As for the area the is a nice little bar/restaurant so we were able to watch the football. We had a lovely walk down to Eyemouth to see the seals in the harbour and play on the beech. The coastal walk opposite the caravan has some breathtaking views and is perfect for dog walking. We’re already talking about going back next year for a longer stay.

We absolutely loved our stay. The view of the sea (especially from the viewing room) is mesmerizing, and the cottage feels like such a haven of peace that we didn't want to leave at all. It had absolutely everything we could have ever needed and more (a really well equipped kitchen, a stove, lots and lots of books, CDs, DVDs, games and jigsaw puzzles, warm blankets, a radio, armchairs to get lost in a book in...). With the unpredictability of Scottish weather, this is the perfect place to stay at, because even on rainy days, there is absolutely no risk of ever getting bored. The location was also great. Even though we arrived by bus and didn't have a car, we still got to explore the surrounding area: Cove harbor is just a ten-minute walk away, there is a coastal hiking path starting just meters away from the house and if you need groceries, you can walk up to Cockburnspath in around 20 minutes time. All in all, this is a beautiful place, and we would absolutely stay here again.

Our stay was just the best. The location was beautiful, peaceful and quiet with its own loch and kayaks which the children loved. It was also close by to local amenities and many places to visit nearby. The house was so spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked and Theresa had very kindly left us some groceries, a very welcome addition. Pets were also welcomed and it was a great place for dogs to run around in. We would not hesitate to recommend Theresa’s house as it had everything and more that we were looking for.

We have just finished the most relaxing half term break here. What a find! We all instantly felt at home, with everything thought of. The house is superb, and beautifully styled. We had the best fish and chips ever (high praise with a husband who comes from another uk coastal town!) and enjoyed bracing beach walks. We will be back!

This is a very special place, even in the deepest of winter. It's unique and quite magical. We would like to come back in the summer to see the contrast, but I would recommend this place any time of the year.

Gareth and Joanne's place was sooo lovely! Such a beautiful view of the canal. It was quiet and peaceful, all while being close to the centre of Edinburgh with everything you'd want in walking distance. The flat itself was spotless and had everything you would need. Very comfortable place to stay. Gareth and Joanne were friendly and helpful, and responded quickly to messages. Such a great stay!!

I spent nearly four months in Wendy's accommodation. I had a great time there! The apartment itself offers great views, and the room is very comfortable. It is easily accessible by bus and has a good connection to the city centre and main University Campus, as well as being close to a big supermarket and the beach. Being on the outskirts of the city and by the sea, it made it very easy to find peace, walking along the beach or visiting my personal favourite place, Newhailes Estate. For those coming to study here: the bus connection to the University of Edinburgh's King's Buildings is not great, especially on the way back, and if you'll have to be there a lot I'd recommend getting a bicycle, which is about twice as fast. Wendy is a very friendly host, who is usually not home during the day but if you run into her and she has time she will be open for a chat - for example sharing stories or music. She loves baking, and might leave something she made in the fridge for you!

We loved Cathy’s place which was ideally located for Eyemouth’s restaurants & cafes. Overlooking the harbour was a delight & we even saw a seal from the window! The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable with a very generous welcome pack including Prosseco as the four of us were celebrating our 60th birthdays. We were warm & cosy in the apartment and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom is very spacious & the shower is excellent. Would definitely return!

We had an absolutely brilliant time in Tina’s holiday home. It was our first time in Eyemouth and the flat is perfectly located right in the village centre with easy parking and right next to the main shop. The cafe downstairs was out of this world and you could see the sea from the kitchen window. The flat itself is cosy and perfect for couples or families. Our 5 and 10 year olds didn’t want to leave! We only came for a couple of days but we’re now hoping to come back again for a longer visit next time as there’s so much to do in the village as well as surrounding areas.

A stylish clean and tidy flat with a beautiful view out of the kitchen window . Plenty of space for me to unwind after a day on the mountain bike . There is a great bike storage just out side ,which was easy to use . the flat is very central . I had a great stay would stay again

Lieu paisible pour se ressourcer avant et après une journée à Édimbourg. L'arrêt de bus à 7 minutes à pied du logement permet de ne pas se soucier du transport en voiture pour Édimbourg. Selon l'heure pas loin d'une heure de trajet quand même. Le logement est mieux que ce que l'on prévoyait. Je recommande ce logement pour 3 personnes.
