Yurt stays on offgrid land in the Scottish Borders

A beautiful 18ft yurt set within the trees on our rustic land! This is a permaculture small holding and an offgrid adventure. Your stay can include by donation a woodfired sauna or woodland bath or perhaps a pizza night (£15/10pp) and a fire outside. There is an opportunity to take a yoga class or perhaps a forest school session for the family? The price includes a basket of wood for the stove (additional wood can be brought with you or bought from us) home made bread, teas, coffee, and cereals.

The Tackhouse

This is a cozy cottage with a gentle contemporary feel. It has two en-suite bedrooms with have superking size beds which can be turned into single beds (let us know prior to your arrival). The kitchen, dining area and the living room are all open plan with a wood burning stove at its centre. The terrace is part of a small enclosed garden, sunny and sheltered from the wind. Castletoun Spa (hot tub,sauna) must be booked in advance for an exclusive use, subject to availablity (£30 per day).

Private apartment in modern farmhouse

Relax in a modern home on our 20 hectare (50 acre) working organic farm just a few miles south of the Edinburgh city bypass. The apartment includes 3 rooms with a private external entrance and a locked internal door if needed. The single bedroom is ensuite; the other main room is a living space with a kitchenette and large sofa bed. We are close to the route south / north too and from Edinburgh but far enough away (1.5km) to not get interrupted by road / traffic noise.
