Great place to stay if you don’t want to stay in the city. Easy park and ride into Edinburgh. The surroundings are stunning, a great place to wake up to! There were plenty of walks but we didn’t end up doing any of them as we had walked for hours in Edinburgh and couldn’t face anymore hilly walks!

The snug is perfect, so beautifully decorated and feels very cosy and homely. Sara provided everything you could possibly need for a weekend away which was incredible, the little goodie basket was such a treat. Communication with Sara was extremely easy and even when contacted on a Sunday, Sara replied to messages quickly. Sara is so an excellent host and we can’t wait to return to the amazing snug again! Thank you Sara for a brilliant stay.

My partner and I stayed here for a weekend and absolutely loved it. Great communication and directions to the property from the hosts. The location was beautiful and very private and the lodge itself was immaculately clean and had every appliance/kitchenware you could need. The hot tub and the fire pit were great additions to the stay. Cant recommend highly enough, we would definitely stay here again!

Great stay at swan lodge, comfortable, homely and the hot tub was exactly what was needed on the cold December days. The walks around the site were brilliant and helped us create some great adventures with the kids. We would definitely recommend it and will look to visit again.

Fantastic stay at Barn Owl Lodge. Very peaceful, beautiful views and a wonderful hot tub. The lodge itself was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Would definitely like to stay again 🙂

We had a beautiful holiday here and Rosie and Jim were more than accomodating. The lodge was stunning, comfortable and the views/animals are truly stunning. Rosie is an amazing host who greets you with as much information as you wish when you arive then leaves you alone to your own devices unless you need to contact her. Which is perfect if you are looking to keep private as the lodge itself feels very private. Finally the surrounding areas are just a short drive away and I highly recommended Coulter Fell if you are up for a hike! Thank you Rosie for being an incredible host and for allowing us to stay at your beautiful lodge. It made this week truly magical for me and my family.

We had a wonderful stay at Lotte’s cabin. It was exactly as the description, yet even more tranquil than we’d imagined. The cabin is beautifully designed, spacious, and the view from the picture window is incredible. It’s a location we felt honoured to be able to spend a few nights in. With friendly horses as neighbours and waking up to birdsong. We enjoyed the wood-fired hot tub both nights, and had such good weather we could sit out on the deck for dinner one night. A friendly Robin joined us too! Lotte was friendly and helpful via message during our stay. Highly recommend!

Beautiful lodge in a lovely location with stunning views. The pictures don’t do it justice, and much bigger than we thought. Lots of extra towels / bedding, well equipped kitchen and a tv in each room (which the teenagers were very happy about!). Easy check in and Rebecca was a great host - easy check in and gave us lots of recommendations locally. We had a lovely holiday here and will definitely be back soon :)

We really enjoyed our stay at the Vista over the weekend. The scenery is stunning and the site and accommodation was immaculate. Kelly was a fabulous host and was really friendly and helpful. I would recommend a stay the Vista.

We had a fabulous experience staying in your caravan!! It was extremely clean and the owners were quick to respond at all times and were overall just lovely!! We are extremely happy with our stay and would recommend to others. We hope to come back soon!!

We had a great stay @ this peaceful cabin, we ate twice at the Cross Keys pub in the village which is very dog friendly, lots of great walks from the cottage. Fantastic area & definitely go to the near town of Melrose for a visit. Would definitely stay here again.

Another ideal Airb&b. Great accommodation, generous on the extras (eggs, butter, bread, milk, plus more fridge and cereal items). Very clean, comfortable bed. Very pleased with the accommodation. The location was chosen as it is close to Uphall Stn (beware if using google maps to get to the Stn, put in Uphall Railway Stn! Otherwise google sends you to a trading estate). The Stn has good rail service to Edinburgh which is what we required.

Had a lovely over night in the pod , Kevin and his partner were very welcoming. Pod was cosy , private and the hot tub was great. Exactly what we needed, will definitely be back and recommending to friends.

Amazing place to stay 💕 Linda was so helpful before we went and answered any questions we had. Caravan was spotless and a great size for us all. Location was peaceful with beautiful views! Looking at coming back next year already!

I stayed in the shepherds hut for one night for a friend’s birthday. Annette was great with communication, allowing us to be flexible with check-in and check-out, and had the hot tub ready for our entire stay. We had an amazing time in the outdoor seating area, there was a BBQ ready for us to use and it was a lovely weekend in beautiful, peaceful countryside surroundings. The bed situation was perfect for us being a group of 6 close-knit girl friends, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate and a better host to have us.

House was nice and peaceful. Although pet friendly, the house rules on site request dogs not be in the bedrooms, this information would have been better at the booking stage.

Mariusz is great host . Well equipped caravan with everything You need. Highly recommended
