Salt Spring Island: soggiorni in alloggi al lago

Had a great time staying where - tucked away and overlooking the lake for a peaceful retreat. Close to the town and easy to get to from Friday harbour. Would recommend to arrive during the day or to googlemap the turn in beforehand as the turn can be easily missed at night!

We had an amazing stay at Gramma Rikki’s beautiful home! It was perfect for our group of two families (4 adults + 3 young kids). The house was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed—from a well-equipped kitchen and cozy bedrooms to toys, books, and kid-friendly touches throughout. The huge yard, hot tub, and fresh-water pond were big hits, and the peaceful setting made it easy to relax. Gramma Rikki was incredibly warm and welcoming - an outstanding host. We’d absolutely come back again!

We loved staying here. The house is great. The front porch, the side deck with grill and sun chairs and outdoor dining is great. The dock on the water is fabulous. Any specific questions or issues were addressed immediately. Its a really lovely spot. You can't do better on Shawnigan Lake!

I wish we could have stayed longer at Suzanne's place, it was a home away from home! The bed was comfy, there were books and games, the kitchen was stocked with tasty treats, and there was so much art, love, and attention to detail around the house. And I absolutely loved the shoe dryer, what a great thing to have :D I hope we can come back to explore more of the lake and if we do, I would love to stay here again.

We really enjoyed staying at Allison’s. Very quiet, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the lake. Watching the sunrising on the lake while sitting on the dock was spectacular. The kitchen had everything needed and many more extras. We definitely recommend.

Ya que aparte de ser muy amplia , es muy bonita; Krista siempre se mostró muy atenta y hospitalaria con nosotros, también fue muy accesible con los horarios y la comunicación bastante efectiva (tanto al responder los mensajes como de manera presencial); siempre tuvo mucha iniciativa para apoyarnos en cualquier inconveniente que tuviéramos incluso fuera de lo que ofrecía el alojamiento... Los paisajes y las vistas eran maravillosas desde cualquier ventana de la casa. Recomiendo ampliamente la estancia en ese lugar, ya que te encontrarás con excelentes anfitriones y una granja/casa hermosa ❤️

Gavin’s place is clean, beautiful and well kept. It has plenty of room for everyone. The view of the lake is beautiful.

Shauna was really responsive and helpful if we had any questions. The view of the lake was beautiful and the space was comfortable and worked great for our big group.

Had such an awesome stay, the room was tidy, modern and had everything we needed. We had such an awesome time out on the dock, wish we could have stayed longer. 10/10 would recommend this place

Had a lovely two night stay, would totally stay with Matthew again! Kitchenette was equipped with everything to make meals at the suite; loved the long layout for tons of counter space! Outdoor space is lovely; dock is amazing to sit on in the evening, tons of wildlife in and around the river to watch.

It was a pleasure to stay in such an amazing and beautiful place. The property is literally right on the beach, offering an incredible view of the lake and surrounded by forest. There are plenty of activities available: brand-new kayaks, swimming in the lake, hiking, basketball, tennis, and more. Shops are within walking distance. Everything was perfect, especially the friendly, home-like hosting. The property has everything you could need — and even more! We will definitely come back in the summer!! Excellent place!

We stayed with our pup in Grace’s garden suite for a month during Christmas. The garden is beautiful and big and our dog loved running around in it everyday. Her place is tucked right into a quaint area with local cafe, bakery, and other amenities that you can walk to. The lake is a 3min walk away! Grace was an amazing host and we felt right at home with everything you need for a long stay. Thank you!! Happy New Year ✨

The house was perfect for our family of 4. We loved the location, and the area was quiet and relaxing. This is a great get away to nature.

Enjoy the peace and tranquility this place has to offer. It was so relaxing to stare out at the wonderful bay and see otters play outside on the docks. I will always remember this place and will 100% come back to it. The host is wonderful and responsive and checked in on me various times to make sure we were enjoying our visit. I wish more hosts were like this! Cannot recommend this place any higher!

Wonderful hosts, very friendly. Absolutely amazing weekend, would 100% book this place again. The lake was beautiful, and the local food and people were wonderful and friendly.

My sister and I had a lovely time staying at Bill and Ashley’s cottages. The cabin was the perfect little size, and equipped with everything we needed to cook lovely meals and enjoy a fun relaxing weekend. Big thanks to Bill for lending us a guitar capo when we realized we had forgotten ours! Say hi to Zoey and Louie for us, can’t wait to visit again :)

The place is really nice. Private driveway hides the house. Everything in the house is clean and comes handy. We especially enjoyed the large back yard where my dog played three days of fetch. Would definitely come back in the summer to explore some water activities on the lake.

Thank you Lesha for a wonderful stay. The private cottage had everything we needed and more. We loved that we could take in the beautiful lake view from the dock, the deck, and from inside the cabin. It was a treat to have a kayak to enjoy the lake by water. Shawnigan lake and the Cowichan valley is a beautiful place with so much to explore (great restaurants, produce/products from local farms, walking/hiking/mountain biking and quaint shops. We hope to stay again.

Beautiful location. We had a relaxing and fun time at the cottage. The cottage had a very welcoming feeling, was clean & bright. Beautiful lake views. Mary was great to deal with. friendly, open & responsive.

Michael’s cottage is an exceptional place in an absolutely perfect location. The main floor of the house is amazing with breath-taking views of Shawnigan Lake. It’s incredibly calm, serene and quiet and the perfect place to cook and relax after a day of hiking. Sitting in the hot tub, overlooking the lake and surrounded by over a foot of snow was an incredible feeling. Everything about our stay was great. Thank you Michael!
