The Guardian’s Cottage is a recently refurbished luxurious cottage with a private heated salt water pool. It is fully equipped with all modern facilities. Set in 22 acres of meadows and woods and is bordered on three sides by a gentle river. The cottage is rural but very near to two villages with all amenities. There are local markets, loads of nearby attractions and superb restaurants. This is an excellent area to totally relax and experience the pleasures of the Dordogne.

Le Cedre - cottage in the grounds of Chateau

Le Cedre was originally built as an artist's studio, so it has lovely light and has a view of the Chateau (which is run as a chambres d'hotes) and a majestic blue cedre tree. The ground floor is open plan with a modern kitchen and dining table for six. The main bedroom on the first floor is very large with the original chestnut floors and has huge windows. There is a curious relic set into the wall, which we have preserved, thought to be from an ancient destroyed abbey.

The gite is ideal as a base for a break away in the Perigord vert or visiting family & friends in the area. Cussac is situated on the edge of the Perigord vert which is renown for being the region of lakes & forests. The area offers, scenic routes for motorbike touring/cycling, swimming/fishing lakes, historical sites and walking/cycling trails.
