The house is such a cozy cabin and right on the shore of beautiful Lake Huron. So many parks and beaches to hike at and explore all along the main road and the cabin is smack dab right between Port Austin and Caseville, each only 10 mins to the East and West. The spiral staircase, the fire pit outside, the windswept shore - all make the place a perfect beach side retreat for fun in Michigan's Thumb. Paul Richard was super responsive and got back to me in minutes each time. Great stay!

We loved the beautiful lake views and that we could bring our dog with us. Stargazing while enjoying s’mores at the fire pit was wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our family truly enjoyed staying in the cabin and catching up with family! It was very clean and well kept! We will be back for other family events in the future!

We had a great stay. A perfect place for our small family to disconnect from day to day life and reconnect with nature.

The home is as described in the listing. Easy access and everything was clean and organized. The beds were very comfortable, the linens were crisp and clean, and there were nice fans in ever room. The A/C cooled the place down nicely after we arrived, so no worries if you're visiting during the warmer months. The area around the property was very quiet and secluded, especially during the weekdays when most of the surrounding homes were not occupied. The channel in front of the house is small but we managed to pull a few fish out of it during our stay. Great place to launch a kayak and see some of Saginaw Bay. During our stay the pressure tank for the water system malfunctioned. Alaina responded to my message in about one minute and had a plumber on the way to assess within the hour. The hosts stayed in contact with me throughout the process and resolved the issue as fast as possible. I would not hesitate to stay here again, my group had a great time.

We loved our stay here! The house was very nice and clean. It was a great visit with fishing, bonfires, kayaking and cornhole! Coffee on the porch with a view of the lake was very enjoyable.

An amazing stay, an amazing host. peaceful and serene. a great spot to go we went on a trip as a couple to check it out to see if it would be a great spot to bring the family. Turns out it is the perfect place to take our family vacation so we will be returning this summer with the whole family.

Beautiful stay on the lake, my fault I didn’t read the no WiFi or tv, that would have made it a 10/10 but it was a beautiful stay nonetheless . Beautiful view, clean and very nice host. Directions were easy. Very accommodating. Would love to come back.

Our stay was at a time of the year most probably wouldn't care too much to use the beach—it was cold and rainy in March. But I would say the beach is BEAUTIFUL in the rain and with gray skies. They view from the plentiful windows was so peaceful and the house was warm and comforting. When we walked along the beach at sunset, we saw about 11 deer a ways off, also on the beach. It was magical. I imagine the vibe in cold weather is much different than in warm, but equally special. There were birds and fat squirrels to watch, tea and coffee to drink, etc. I hope to stay at this location someday in the future, with more of my loved ones!

I had a fantastic stay at [Host’s Name]’s place! The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. Check-in was smooth, and the host was very responsive and helpful throughout my stay. The location was perfect—close to Midland and shopping in West Branch. I especially appreciated all the windows and the view of the water. Kitchen is well-equipped, Wi-Fi works well. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We really enjoyed our stay, the place is for those looking for peace, tranquility and rest! The cabin is beautiful, perfect, just like the ones I saw in the movies when I was a child! The lake is beautiful, my husband had fun fishing and rowing the boat. I highly recommend it for spending some quality time.

Sally and Charlie are excellent hosts and the property is fabulous. The Captains Quarters house is large and group friendly with room to spread out and a table that will handle unto 12(!!!) people around it. Fun times there with a beach (sandy!!) and swim area (with a raft). All beach toys are available for use (see the extensive list of what's available). We were made to feel right at home from the minute we got there until we left. Would certainly put this property on a list of future stays!

Great place! We've stayed here multiple times and everytime it's been great. The hosts are easy to work with and the place is always in great condition. I would highly recommend this house! The lake is absolutely beautiful!

Adam is super responsive with questions, their instructions both online and cheat sheets in the house were super easy to follow. The house was super clean and comfortable. I’ll definitely book again if its available

Wonderful place to stay. My whole family loved it we can’t wait to go back. And all the beds are amazing. Location was great close enough to town for food delivery. But far enough away for a peaceful stay. Beautiful lakefront home gorgeous views. This place has everything you need or want to have a great stay. I highly recommend. And the host are so friendly down to earth kind of people. We look forward to staying in there home again.

What a beautiful home! Honestly, I don’t think the pictures even do this home justice. We fell in love and didn’t want to leave! Beautifully decorated, impeccably clean and so incredibly cozy and comfortable. There is plenty of room for a large group. It was so convenient to have a full bathroom on each floor. The kitchen is beautifully updated with high end appliances, all the cooking equipment/utensils and even extras like K-cups and paper products. An updated and gorgeous bathroom on the main floor as well. The attention to detail continues outside too. Tons of seating around a bonfire pit, a fire table and a gorgeous and spacious outdoor table covered by a solid canopy, complete with bistro lights. The best part is you just steps away from the beach which felt very private. Location was nice too with the closest city being Caseville. Julia was responsive and helpful with all my questions. We had a wonderful and memorable time here and would love to return.

We had a wonderful relaxing time. The view of the water was amazing and even though you cannot control the weather it was 70 degrees in March when we were there and walking on the beach was a plus. The house itself was so unique and had everything we needed to just enjoy our time. We plan to come back again. Rebecca was a perfect host!
