BBQ, casual, cool atmosphere. Food cooked on an authentic wood fire. You can almost smell it from our house! It's tucked in behind another little spot named Rose and Sons -tiny little spot but good food, no patio. Both restaurants are owned by Anthony Rose, an up-and- coming restaurateur who has taken over our neighbourhood (in a good way). He also owns Bar Begonia, Fat Pasha and Shmaltz.

Playa Cabana and/or Hacienda: Mexican. Playa is very small and tight, but food and drinks are good. Hacienda has a lot more space and a good patio.

Terroni - Has one of the best rooftop patios in Toronto. It is very difficult to get onto this patio in the summer as they don't take reservations. My trick is to take my little ones for lunch or an early dinner, get a great table, stick around and people watch.
