Beautiful hiking route that is fairly easy access, partly gravel path and partly wooden path. You get to walk around the area and see two very special lakes. After hiking, you can enjoy coffee and waffles at Shinsen-numa Marsh parking lot, and see spectacular views over Iwanai from the observation deck.

One of the most authentic Ryokan Onsens in the area. Goshiki name means 5 seasons, and you can see them while relaxing in the outdoor Onsen pools and looking at Mt Iwao. Highly recommend to visit at any season of the year.

Please rent a car from Chitose airport or alternatively from Hirafu / Kutchan. Remember that you need an international driving license in order to drive a car or even rent in Japan.

Lots of Onsens (Hot springs) nearby our house. Try Yugokorotei in Moiwa or up the road from the house towards Chisenupuri there's a lovely local Onsen Yukichichibu. You get all amenities such as towels, shampoos etc. from the Onsen.
