Quesada's Central Park is always active, but it is absolutely bustling with the young, old, couples in love, and families on Friday & Saturday night. (get a window table at the Restuarante Coca Loca and take it all in while dining on a grass-fed rib-eye steak)

You won't want to miss the most active Volcano Poas with awesome views of its boiling caldron. It is a spectacular 1 hr drive with vistas from over 8,500 ft. In route, be certain and stop at LaPaz Gardens & Falls. There is an admission, but it is well worth it.

Shopping
Farmers Market (Thursday 11am-4pm) is just 100 m up the hill from the Bus Terminal. If you want an authentic slice of real Costa Rican life & culture, you got to do the FM. The mountain farmers bring down their winter produce, and the lowlands farmers bring their fruits, citrus and vegetables up to the Quesada FM. The selection of fresh fruits & veggies is overwhelming. The taste is more vibrant than any fruit or produce you have ever tasted. Prices are very modest, and the vendors are delightful. Your grocery store at home will forever be bland.

On arrival to Quesada, stop & buy some basic groceries for the next day. The largest grocer is Maxi Pali (owned by WalMart) has locations in Quesada and Aquas Zarcas.
However, Supermercado Compre Bien and SuCasa Supermercado in Quesada are excellent full service grocery stores as well. (See our Casa Feliz Binder for more info)
