THE BEST fast food in Boone. Don't even think about going anywhere else for a hamburger. The Fried Green Tomato burger is AMAZING and the fries and milkshakes are great too. This is a local favorite and always packed.

Cute shoes, jewelry, and premium denim. If you need a cute dress for a wedding or event, this is the place!

If you want a pair of boots, this is THE place to go. The store is packed to the ceiling with western wear (literally). Don't let the "messiness" disuade you! The selection of cowboy boots is amazing and the staff can easily bring out the best options for your price range and preference.

Parks & Nature
Everyone who visits Boone (and lives here) has the iconic picture from Rough Ridge. In fact, you can see it in our listing pics! This is a great hike that is not too long or too strenuous. It's not flat, but the views are well worth the hiking it takes to reach them. We have taken our kids up the trail since they were 4 years old (though you may end up doing a little carrying).

This is a great hike that is not too long or too strenuous. It's not flat, but the views are well worth the hiking it takes to reach them. Rent a kayak or canoe at Price lake and enjoy an hour or two of floating in this beautiful scenery! It is AMAZING in the fall when the leaves are changing. And, the rentals are very affordable. This is a great activity for all ages. We highly recommend it!

3636 Blue Ridge PkwyRent a kayak or canoe at Price lake and enjoy an hour or two of floating in this beautiful scenery! It is AMAZING in the fall when the leaves are changing. And, the rentals are very affordable. This is a great activity for all ages. We highly recommend it!

The perfect small theme park for kids age 2-11. Intentionally low tech. Fun shows (our daughter is in one 🙂) and great rides for young kids.

It is not so large as to be overwhelming, and not so crowded as to be exhausting (except during Thomas the Tank Engine days). There is a ferris wheel, fun kiddie rides, a chair lift, petting zoo, and some charmingly corny shows.
