Boschendal is already one of our favorite places in the world & the Werf restaurant just makes it even better! Fine dining in an exquisite and magical setting where all the small touches make for a rustic, romantic tour of country luxury. A glorious garden sprouts delicious produce that’s being picked even as diners arrive. In the kitchen, it’s transformed into comforting, country-style food by chef Christiaan Campbell. Start with beef tartare hidden inside flutes of nasturtium leaf with baby potato chips & pickled onions. This is a one-stop tourist Mecca with everything from craft beer, gourmet chocolate, lovely restaurants, souvenir shops, ice cream, wine, and an gorgeous and unique spice shop. It's well worth the drive and with Fairview Goat Farm next door it makes for a fun afternoon.

We love everything about Nobel Hill from their wines, to their fantastic Mexican restaurant (unfortunately not open at night). A lovely spot to stop for lunch and a tasting! They also make one of the best picnics in the whole area with the best of every local vendor included along with some fabulous guacamole.

The playground is perfect for kids and we also like to end our time with a walk through the olive groves. It has an incredible view that on a clear day let's you see table mountain. They also have the best 6 hr hike (must arrive before 11am and have no cloud cover on the mountain).

Think affordable local food and produce, coffee, and some quirky arts, crafts and souvenirs. It's small and quaint and is the perfect stop for a fresh juice and breakfast after the 8am park run at Rickety Bridge.
Mont Rochelle is owned by the one and only Sir Richard Branson. Book a table and enjoy the perfect afternoon with superb wine, food and even giant lawn darts. Also a great spot for a picnic! I hear ‘sur le grapevine’ that there is to be a revamp of the food offering here which I hope just means it’s going to get even better! It’s a nice space outside with room for families and lots of secluded shady nooks if you want a bit of privacy. Good wines as well.

Also a great spot for a picnic! I hear ‘sur le grapevine’ that there is to be a revamp of the food offering here which I hope just means it’s going to get even better! It’s a nice space outside with room for families and lots of secluded shady nooks if you want a bit of privacy. Good wines as well.

The statue is dedicated to the influences that the French Huguenots brought the Cape Colony and you can learn all about their ways of life and their reasons for settling in this valley at the Huguenot Memorial Museum.
