Chibo Japanese cuisine and local fusion

https://youtu.be/JmxOOwF0ngg Beachwalk Waikiki has a Japanese restaurant called "CHIBO"....well known for it's specialty called "Okonomiyaki" a traditional japanese pancake filled with a selected protein. Most popular is a trio of seafood items. Very creative as it has a mixture of thin sliced cabbage and then compacted together with all that goodness and flavors. They then top it off with mayo, nori (seaweed) and bonito (shrimp) flakes. But, you will be swayed by the other items such as Yakisoba (fried noodles) and prime steak. But, then you have this Hawaiian iconic dish, our all time comfort food called "LOCO MOCO"....! This Japanese restaurant paid careful attention to it's classic stylin' of sautéed onions, on a bed of white rice, thick "beef" gravy and a beef hamburger patty....then top it off with an easy over egg. They kept it simple and "classic". But, the flavors just pops! They wanted to have their Japanese influence using the best ingredients possible. So, the rice is of high quality grade, the onions are sweet, the gravy is not held back with tastiness and the hamburger is probably of high grade beef. So, juicy with no fillers that I can tell. Beefy! Then topped off with a beautiful easy over egg with its vibrant yolk just ready to burst. And as a bonus...the chef prepares this dish right in front of you Yakiniku style.... They should be considered as top notch places in Hawaii to try "LOCO MOCO!" This restaurant is one of the few places in Waikiki that offers "Dine In" during this Pandemic period. It has a couple of tables outside too! Lunch is priced very reasonable and should be categorized as "Cheap Eats." CHIBO; https://www.yelp.com/biz/okonomiyaki-...

Favorite Beaches by Hawaii Ocean Club Realty

https://youtu.be/8VOeOo3vJW8 Staying in Waikiki? Seeking a sandy beach for swimming and reefs to explore? Kaimana Beach has to be one of the best places to experience swim and snorkel. And while you are enjoying this fabulous beach why not get photos of the Waikiki War Memorial Natatorium. So much history that connects Olympians with Hawaii. But, of course we should be mindful of the memorial to remember those who lost their lives during the first World War. There are stores at nearby buildings but also consider Barefoot Cafe for casual home cooking. Go by "Biki Bike" which has bike hub locations there or a nice stroll if you are closer to the East side of Waikiki. Public Restrooms are available too! For our visiting guests staying at our vacation rentals with Hawaii Ocean Club (Realty Group) we have cooler and beach toy rentals available. Subscribe with us and get a "Subscribers discount" staying at our vacation rentals, studios, one to three bedroom condos with full kitchen available. https://youtu.be/PyYiggMxvCM Haleiwa at the North Shore, Oahu has a lot to offer! We first visited "Kai'aka Beach Park" where it offers a lot of picnic tables, restrooms available, trees for shade and of course the beach! It has rocky bottom but great for surfing. There were surf lessons being offered there. If you go along the shoreline it has a large area of sand bottom great for swimming not too far away as seen in the video clip. Notice too a rocky shoreline where fishermen and campers are found with lot's of parking and large picnic area. Not too far away is Alii Beach Park as mentioned Surfing Competition is held, but off season when no waves you will find a turtle sanctuary. Haleiwa Town has lot's of local eateries to experience, but on this day we craved juicy, tender, grilled on a rotisserie "Ray's Keawe Chicken" (locals know it as "HULI HULI" which means to "turn" (Huli is repeated twice where you need to turn it at least twice to cook evenly). A Hawaiian tidbit:) We took the chicken lunch to Haleiwa Beach Park where after eating we stumbled on a "Turtle Convention".....wow! Did you count 5 turtles in just that one spot? To actual discover in natural habitat is a cool experience. Careful of the strict laws on protecting the turtles here. Distancing is the key! Don't get caught with the steep fines ($$$$)! To our visiting guests staying at our vacation rentals, hope you enjoyed this video clip and can experience this wonderful place. To anyone who may be visiting Oahu and seeking Vacation Rentals we have various places in Waikiki and KoOlina. HawaiiOC.com

https://youtu.be/UEb26yWH9wY Turtle Bay on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii has "off the beaten path" stretch of beach. It is unique in a sense of having a cool (breezy in the shade) nature pathway that follows the stretch of beach. The sand is powder white and the water so clear! There is even a natural tide pool that is referred as "Keiki Beach" where on low tide and Summer season the waters can be calm. Please look at surf report as caution where surf can be rough and dangerous (especially Winter Season is High Surf....stay away!). On this late September season it was nice and pretty calm. Pepe&Mimi sure enjoyed themselves! The Bagels at "Farm to Barn Cafe & Juicery" was a gem of a find! Tasty and delicious and fresh! This is located in Haleiwa just outside of the actual North Shore Market Place. For our guest staying at Koolina and Waikiki it is equally about 1 hour drive, but as you see.....very scenic with all the beaches you will see as you will travel via H-2 Freeway heading North. Turtle Bay has townhouses for sale and if you are interested in knowing the price and activity please text me for quick responses. Happy Hour

https://youtu.be/uq62teBO7rY Looking for a place to enjoy "Happy Hour" in Waikiki, Honolulu? Consider the Yard House on Lewers Ave, Beachwalk, Waikiki as your "Cheap Eats" @ Happy Hour! Great atmosphere, friendly service, delicious entrées and sanitary conscious,,,,,,all the above is the Yard House! And at reasonable Happy Hour "Cheap Eats" prices! We are so fortunate that the Yard House is located just across the street from where my office is at. Hawaii Ocean Club Realty Group Inc or HawaiiOC.com is in the Imperial Hawaii Resort at 205 Lewers St. Yard House recently added seating area "picnic table" type set up out in the courtyard frontage. Umbrellas make it a great atmosphere and of course some shelter. Did you notice the statue in the courtyard and in my video. This is legendary Hawaiian Musician Gabby Pahinui who is famous for "slack key". This is photo worthy...I hope to play his music on my videos but afraid of copyright infringement. oh well..... Yard House is famous for the variety of the craft beers and in the "Yard High" beer tower glass. But, personally I like the Yard House for the FOOD! We never get tired of the Seared Ahi Salad crunch. This salad boast fresh tri local greens (hence it's crunchy fresh) and the dressing secret sauce is the star. Tasty asian flavoring and of course you can't beat the fresh "Ahi" seared on the outside and buttery on the inside. This salad is great for two to four persons. We craved a Pizza so we indulged on the Mushroom&Pepperoni Pizza....usually the photos looks better than the taste but it was the other way around....It taste better than advertised! Flavorful melted cheezy cheese with the tomato secret sauce. The Pizza is a must order! Hiromi craved the chicken tenderloin that is deep fried in a batter and served with homemade fries.....a perfect pairing with beer, don't you think? Today being Saturday was definitely a cheat day.....no counting calories on this sitting. I pass on my video to the visiting guests who stay at our vacation rentals in Hawaii and welcome anyone to visit our site for your future stays!
