a 60+ yr old diner with a huge patronage of truck drivers, untouched by time with their cheap menu and tacky decor. There's always a table open unless it's Sunday at brunch time, in which case it's never more than a 5 minute wait. It's greasy, but hey, it's awesome.

Free and open most days, this is a beautiful walk near our home that often sees local wildlife and birds in their natural habitat. Some weekdays there's bird walkers and educational stuff to learn!

This is a fun, educational place where kids can learn about fishes and the local environment! There are games and fun nature walks next to the Bow River. Picnic tables, a little water park in the summer...

This is a little known gallery and it's the BEST one in town in my opinion. It's FREE, always. It is contemporary Canadian art with a stunning location on the top of this beautiful new building over looking downtown. Soak in the amazing views from their big glass walls.

This is the local city pool - it is between $2-$6 per person depending on the day. It's a simple place with lane swims and family swims, a slide and some ropes to swing from. Great way to get a workout, and it's usually pretty quiet in there.

This is probably why you're here! The biggest outdoor show in the world. It's technically walkable from our place if you're a good walker ;) Perfect for a bike ride or a pretty ok bus ride, too. Bring your sunscreen and walkin shoes - skip the hot cowboy boots unless you're a cowboy already ;)

This is the community hall behind our house. It's got a hockey rink, new playground and a big hall to rent out. It's also a Pokemon Go gym if you're into that! Pop by during their office hours if you have questions about the 'hood.

This is the closest regular style grocery style place we have - you can take the #1 bus like 3 stops east to get there! But it is a long walk/bike because of the deerfoot interchange.
