If you fancy a really beautiful walk – do this one.
Drive to under the harbour bridge and walk from Westhaven drive amongst the boats suspended on a cool walk way to Silo Park and then to Wynard Quarter. You can walk there from here and the total walk will be about 2 hours if you crack a normal pace. I would go down Williamson and then down Ponsonby Road. Lots to look at on the way! Its basically a beautiful walkway through the boat marina. Pretty special with gorgeous sea views. Lots of birds and bustle.

Westhaven
If you fancy a really beautiful walk – do this one.

They queue here from noon every day to get an outside table at this Auckland institution. Pizzas, slow cooked lamb shoulders, fish and risotto - all the food is Italian inspired and very generous! Excellent value - you and your mate could share an entree caeser salad and a surf and turf and it would be plenty. Watch out though - lots of kids between 5pm - 6.30pm as mum and dad drink lovely glasses of Italian Pinot gris .... Anytime either side is excellent. I like to sit outside under one of the heaters with a blanket on my knee. Its super lovely.
