I like the sushi here, and the atmosphere. It is more crowded and more expensive than some sushi restaurants in town, but it is worth it and there is good udon at lunch.

This place has very good plate lunches if you get there before they run out - and is very nearby, very local, and has other groceries.

This is a real cypress lake nearby and very beautiful. You can go on swamp tours (I recommend Norbert Leblanc) or borrow my one seater kayak if you are brave.
