We absolutely love this place! It's got everything outdoors: nature trails, fishing, boating, camping, and beautiful white sandy beaches. If we are going to the beach, we prefer to go late afternoon and stay thru the sunset. $5 per car entry fee.

Fort De Soto ParkWe absolutely love this place! It's got everything outdoors: nature trails, fishing, boating, camping, and beautiful white sandy beaches. If we are going to the beach, we prefer to go late afternoon and stay thru the sunset. $5 per car entry fee.
This is a great place to get out and enjoy nature and a great spot for birdwatching. There is a 1.25-mile paved exercise trail. Or you can walk the 3500-foot long boardwalk and climb the observation tower for some amazing views. Canoes and kayaks are also available to rent on-site. Great spot for photoshoots.

2.6-mile-long paved trail following the Hillsborough River through downtown Tampa and its an experience on its own. It's got great access to some of Tampa's best museums. It is also lined with trees, cafes and restaurants, water bikes and taxis access.
