It's a beautiful house and has a great cafe. The gardens are wonderful and you can climb the wee hill behind and see over Cupar, and for miles.

Here, you can wander the harbour and enjoy fish and chips from one of the best 'chippies' in Scotland. It's famous. Sit in or eat out. Park at one end and walk to the other (and back). The far end is the quiter end, so if you are time short, take a drive all the way down and venture through the dunes.

The Lomond hills are the largest hills in Fife. You can drive to the carpark and head up the East Lomond very easily. Views across to Edinburgh, KInross, the whole of Fife and even the Highlands on a clear day.

City/town information
Falkland is about 15/20 minutes drive from Cupar. It's also where myself and my family have lived for the past 20 years or so. Visit the palace, wander the village.
Park in the car park. When you enter the village, pass the palace, then turn left at the bank. That'll take you up to the car park entrance. The palace gardens are stunning!
