Great little convenience store/cafe within a ten minute walk from the cottage. Check out Facebook for daily specials and freshmade baked goods! They have amazing cheeseburgers and handcut fries. We like to enjoy it with a fresh local pint on the patio. Phone in a take out pizza order if you want to "skip the dishes".

This is our favourite place to meet friends for a pint. Located in the town of Rimbey approx. 20 minutes away. Unique local creations. Great ambiance and kids are welcome too! They have a great "kids flight" with little treat samplers and a slushie! I love the sunset which is a light lager with a hibiscus tea. So unique and refreshing!

Excellent local restaurant in Lacombe with great food and loads of local breweries on tap. My kids love the cotton candy crush drinks here! Reservations are usually required.

This is a must stop for me every time I go to the lake. Self serve local store with fresh veggies straight from the greenhouses. You can’t get any fresher then that! If they have the large flat beans try them for sure. So good steamed for a bout 3 minutes. A family favourite!

These guys make the best ice cream from scratch every day in Lacombe! Chocolate creations to die for! Family faves are the chocolate coated nerd licorice or the fresh raspberry pistachio ice cream! Check online though first cause when they sell out they close!
