Odense is the place to be, where there is both a lot of sightseeing options, but also plenty of good restaurants in all price ranges.

Madscenen

The best burger joint in town. With it cozy feeling and different taste in burger, this is a place you don't wanna miss out on trying. Every now and then the menu changes, so if you were here before, don't expect the burger from last to still be here😉 It is a good idea to make a reservation. https://burgeranarchy.dk/

The dream of opening his own place and with his favorite sandwich as the focus came true. The mission was to get new life in the classic Smørrebrød - Away with what did not fit in taste and which people nicely left behind on the plate, salad leaf and all the other indifferent garnishes, and then some more quality in what it was about, better ingredients and more love was and still is the approach to the sandwich. Smørrebrødskapers which is the smørrebrød made in Tapas sizes also came on the map back in 2008 - Perfect for those who want to taste several different pieces that just have to satisfy the little hunger…

A bakery nearby the house. Treat yourself to a Brunsviger (the national dessert on Fyn) often eaten as a dessert for breakfast. It is a soft yeast dough topped with a generous serving of butter and brown sugar.

Very little is known for certain about the earliest history of the Church. It is named after King Knud (Canute), who reigned in Denmark from 1080 to 1086. According to sources that include the chronicles of the English monk Ælnoth, the King was killed on 10 July 1086 after a peasant revolt that took Knud from the northern part of the Kingdom to Odense, ending in Sankt Albani Kirke (Church of St. Alban´s) close by. Here the King was slain by the rebels, along with his brother Benedikt and 17 Retainers, all of whom had sought refuge in that Church. A stunning church with a lot of history.

Discover the living history of Funen. The Funen Village is an authentic open-air experience where the past meets the present at an exhibition that tickles all your senses. In the 19th century, most Danes lived in half-timbered farmhouses in rural villages. They lived off the land. The farm and the rural village were the setting for the lives of people who were self-sufficient. Families worked together. Settings like these inspired Andersen’s many popular fairy tales. The Round Tower is built by King Christian IV, who constructed its round walls in the royal colours yellow and red. The King himself also sketched the famous golden rebus on the front of the tower: Lead, God, the right teachings and justice into the heart of King Christian IV. The Round Tower is one of Denmark’s best-known and most visited edifices. The foundation stone was laid on 7/7 1637 and five years later the Round Tower was finished as the first part of the Trinity Complex, which was designed to accommodate three things: the Observatory at the top of the tower, the University Library above the Trinity Church and the church itself below.
