WALKS FROM THE VILLAGE (good for dogs) Little Coxwell Circular: 45 mins or 1hr routes Turn left at the end of the gravel drive and then left at the end of the village road. Crossover onto the other side onto the bank and walk along until you see a sign for a footpath and a mud/sandy lane on your right. Turn right onto this path and up the incline. Carry on all the way past the barn and through the wooded area until you reach a footpath crossroads. Take a right here onto the Moor Mill Farm bridleway up the hill. Just after the brow of the hill you will come to gates and a stile on your right. (45min route) You can go over the stile and straight through the fields and down past the farm and it will take you to the main road outside the village. Here, you will also find a little shed with Gorse Farm Goodies which has a milk dispensing unit, milkshake mix, beef and eggs from the farm, ice cream and other goodies. Please be aware there are sometimes cattle in the fields down to the farm and if so keep your dog on a lead. Once at the milk shed, take a right onto the road back to the village. (1hr route) Or if you'd like to avoid the cattle and extend the walk by an additional 15–20 minutes then do not turn right over the stile and carry straight ahead along the footpath. At the bottom of the hill do not go straight on, turn right along the path with fields on your right and woods on left. At the top of the footpath continue straight ahead following the 'Circular Walk Bridal Way' through the woods. After the woods there is a field, carry on down to the bottom. Just before the gate you can turn right along the inside of the hedge which will take you to the Gorse Farm Goodies shed. There is a picnic area here, along with all the items noted above and water and treats for dogs! When you come out of the farm turn right and head back to Little Coxwell.

DOG WALK FROM THE VILLAGE Longcot Loop (45 mins) Turn right at the end of the gravel drive onto the village road. Carry on up to the Eagle Tavern Pub and take the left-hand fork. Carry on walking along this road until you see a muddy track in front of you (village road goes round to right). Follow the track, past several fields and a little barn (in a field to the left) until you reach an area where the track veers round to the left. You will see another track on your right. Take this track and then immediately go round to the left and follow the internal field around in a loop. At the end of the loop turn left back onto the track and head all the way back up to the village. A very easy route for a quick 45 minute walk with beautiful views. As you come back along the track, nearer to the village there is an incline to the left into a field on a hill. If you head up the field (allotments on your right) there is a small bench at the very top with stunning views of the White Horse and Ridgeway. You can come back down the way you came or there is a permissive path behind the bench and if you turn right along this, you'll eventually make it back to the village road.

WALKS NEAR LITTLE COXWELL Beautiful views and dog friendly. You can park easily on the road at the bottom of Folly Hill and then walk up. This unique 100ft tower is Faringdon’s icon and the last major folly to be built in England. It sits on Folly Hill, within a charming woodland of splendid Scots Pine, some more than 200 years old. Fantastic views over 5 counties. Find out about the history of Folly Hill, Henry James Pye, Oliver Cromwell and the very eccentric Lord Berners (the creator of the Tower and resident Little Coxwell family the Berners-Allsopp). Seek out 24 black birds, Cromwell’s cannon, the many birds and animal sculptures lurking among the trees- there’s even a giraffe! The Folly Tower itself is open twice a month from April to October. The woodland and hill is always open and entry is free.
