Because it's confident and relaxed, a little bit European, friendly as f**k. Great selection of takeaway wine too - so don't forget that. Natural wines they seem good at. Beautiful for lazy late afternoon drinks, sun in your eyes, but a very nice coffee in the morning as well. Supreme I think.

There is nowhere else to get your morning coffee. The order is 6oz or 8oz. No large. They couldn't be further from Starbuck if they tried. They are such a nice group of humans and holy hell they know their coffee.

See that photo of the slides? Ye na, that's not the thing but you know, cool for the kids. It's just a beautiful city park. Apparently someone won a competition a million years ago to design it and the story goes it has the most diverse tree collection in the inner city park world. OMG I'm an historian.

Like, if you really can't be bothered with your own efforts for brunch here she is. Bambina has been around for ages, and we have to love an institution. Used to be too cool for school, has now settled into an everyman's perfect brunch spot. I think the coffee is always better next door at Alpress (I've also listed Alpress)which is strange because they serve it too. I can't give you all the answers

That's because a super young couple - I mean 20s that's young for this kind of gig - opened it on the SMELL OF AN OILY RAG. Love this phrase. He's a chef, she's a bon vivant. Great wee menu, lovely wine list. And WE REALLY WANT THEM TO WIN.
