Food scene
This is a hotel but also the closest restaurant to our house. Outside guests can go there for food and drink – the restaurant is really nice especially for kids. They serve breakfast/lunch and dinner
Please note you are not allowed to use their pool/facilities. Location: 5-10 minutes walk from the house / turn right when exiting the house and continue straight past the beach you will see it on your left hand

You cannot visit Porto Heli without spending an afternoon on the island of Spetses. Spetses is a very quick boat ride away from the port of Costa. You can take a private sea taxi (5 minutes) or a little boat (20 minutes) . Make sure to grab a cocktail at the Poseidonion Grand hotel, children can play in the big piazza right in front of the hotel where street vendors gather and sell toys and trinkets for kids.
Then you can walk or take a horse drawn carriage to the old Harbor and maybe grab a bite at Orloff restaurant or Tarsanas taverna.

These are places you should visit if you feel like you do not want to just lounge by the pool and stay on the beach.
Nafplion is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Porto Heli and has a very picturesque town to walk around. It was the first capital of Greece and it is a beautiful and historical town with unique neo-classical architecture worth visiting. The Bourtzi Castle is overlooking the town and many restaurants and cafes on the coastline offer Greek and international cuisine.

Among the greatest monuments of Greek Antiquity, the famous theatre of Epidaurus, the finest and most renowned of its kind, combines perfect acoustics with elegance and absolute symmetrical proportions. Next to the ancient Theatre of Epidaurus there is also the magnificent Epidaurus Museum, where statues and other objects found at the site, are displayed.
