1500m distance // 5h // cable car station Löwenhaus. 40.- go and come back, 24 euro just up - get your tickets before in the internet to get the best price. Start at "Hungerburgbahn Station Löwenhaus" just 15min walking from the apartment, then get 3 cable cars for this price until you are at the very top of the mountain. Beware: It will be very cold up there and windy - at least 10 degrees difference!
My personal very special tip if you have very solid and hard mountain shoes: #
From the top of the mountain just go east on the trail for about an hours until you reach the top of "Arzler Scharte". There you can see a white field consisting of small rocks, going down about 1000 meters. Now leave the red trail in the photo and go the blue trail to the top of the stone field.
When you reach it - jump into the stones and start running downwards. You will start a small rock avalanche, but as long as you will keep going down you will surf on top of the stones. Do not stop, then things will get a bit tricky, and avoid larger rocks than 20 cm diameter. Within 15 minutes you will come down incredible 1000 meters!
It will be a really unique experience.

7km distance // 6h // hiking near Innsbruck. For me the "Sillschlucht" is one of Tirols most beautiful spots. Start at "Tirol Panorama" and then go up the river until you meet the emerald waterfall. It will take 2 hours and some courage to get there but you will be awarded with all of Tirol's nature in a condensed hiking trip.
personal tip: if we, the natives - get there, we get naked and jump into the water no matter if summer or ice covered winter. Be aware of the current, as it can be life threatening depending of the amount of flowing water.
