Grand stately home with massive parkland with the fabulous deer herd. Some tours on tractors and trailers some days. Tours of house need to be booked , but well worth visit. Also some good street food festivals each weekend within the parkland .
Approx 7 miles from host house . Sorry to mention it , but they are advertising their Christmas musical and candlelight spectaculars. It is well worth attending as it is grandly and beautifully decorated and the music first class. You could stay here 7 miles away and get a taxi back or drive.

An amazing and grand rural coastal spot ( pronounced cly - yes I was a wally and pronounced it incorrectly for a year ) . Wonderful windmill and Marshes centre for visitor. A most excellent deli as well.

Not been on it myself as I dont like boats but highly regarded and lots of seals to see.

If you adore roses then this is the place to go. An easy 36 miles to Attleborough only takes approx 20 mins from host home and worth it. You can just get the plants online but then you miss the fabulous displays.
And then you can purchase them when you are there.

Not a pretty place but only 2 miles out of east Rudham If you want a daily paper, ( I get one delivered if you are desperate ) a car clean or off licence then this is the place to go. You can also get a garden shed from there also . Everything you need to survive ! Lovely polish chaps there to clean your car.

A dock town with a massive tidal river - The Great Ouse. Some wonderful Georgian buildings . Not my sort of place but fascinating. It has all the big supermarkets and other essential places to buy from.

Car easiest but alternatives
Car is easiest but excellent mainline train stations to Kings Lynn and norwich. Norwich also has an airport. Reasonable buses and taxis to get about. I have a really good taxi service
nearby that can get you to anywhere reliably. Coastal hopper buses good and some more mini local trains for fun. eg Sheringham
